Textbook Incorporates Bulgaria, Armenia in Turkey
« Thread Started on Oct 1, 2009, 5:15pm »

Armenia, and regions of Bulgaria are considered part of Turkey in new Turkish textbooks.

The news came from the Turkish Ekolay website which also posted the map.

A CD with major errors is added to manuals of Istanbul schools. In particular, Armenia, Eastern Thrace (part of Bulgaria), Western Thrace (part of Greece), Iraqi Kurdistan (Mosul, Kirkuk), the Greek part of South Cyprus, part of Georgia, including Batumi turned out to be incorporated into Turkey.

The textbooks include other mistakes as well. For instance, Turkish national holiday — Victory Day was not even mentioned, the Armenian news agency, news.com, reported.

The books were handed during the solemn ceremony. The head of Educational department of Istanbul expressed regrets on the matter that such errors had occurred.

This is ridicolous guys. I looked at the Turkish website, and there is no such thing. No one in Turkey grows up to claim non - Turkish territory.
I bet it's Armenian propoganda!

Ruse, this is simply stupid propaganda, spread by Armenian news agency. Wonder where do they search for such news and why.. Further more, why not other, but Bulgarian site Novinite.com published that as news?! And yes, I stand on TR side.. you can stay on the Armenian one, vomiting your bile out of envy and hate.

Rhezus, this piece of news was covered by all Bulgarian media, novinite only published it in English. And the existence of this map was confirmed by Bulgarian diplomats, one of who expressed his doubts, that it as a technical mistake.

Of course all BG media proudly show such news. The thing is what is this book like, where you buy the book, do schools teach children that? According to thracian08 this is nonsence:

"This is ridicolous guys. I looked at the Turkish website, and there is no such thing. No one in Turkey grows up to claim non - Turkish territory."

No Rusko, I only defend them from your unfair hatred. You bare it inside and it's nothing else but tragical.
And btw, is it because of that, the isolated corner of Caucasus, wants to open its border to Turkey. ;)

You shouldn't mock Bulgarian media, Tartary. After all, most of your numerous posts come from articles in Bulgarian media, no?
Have you had your doner today?

eh...just want to point out that I read this story in the zaman. I read turkish news everyday from work. I like to see what they are up too :))

in any case...thacian you are wrong. The turks publicized this story and the turkish officials recognized the " mistake " in their books. This isnt the first time btw...

Last time they had outlined Greek thrace part and had the ottoman flag for thrace on their website ;D. It was another error made by mistake...LOL !

These errors happen so many times it gets kind of funny. I swear these turkish generals are like little GI Joe's sitting on their desks thinking what else to outline as turkish territory.

Man i swear arrogance has no limit with you ppl.....

Palestinian flag does not have 3 stars. It has the traditional black, white and green tricolor.

Sometimes. As a salad or a garnish, never as a main meal. I'd have to eat every hour or so if I haven't eaten meat.

Try eating nuts between two meal times. It would help you to consume less meat. Good for your body as well. :)

I don't want to consume less meat. I love meat. Why on earth should I replace it with some nuts or vegetables or whatever?
Can I offer you a nice pork chop some day, Tartary?

Ruse because it's good at least for your hearth. Between the meals or before dinner, have some 100gr of wallnuts, hazelnuts and cashew mix. Have you asked the doctor about your cholesterol? You like rakia too, right. Hey, seriously speaking, do check your cholesterol.

I do not eat pork, turkey, camel, horse, and so on.

I only eat lamb, beef, and chicken, but I avoid to eat very often.

I prefer fish instead. :)

I do eat meat. Not as much as I used to. Perhaps once a week, not more than twice. Meat is not so good for the digesting system after all.

My ancestors needed to eat meat as they were the nomads. However, that was a very long time ago. We are now settled down. :)

Not many kinds of meat left, may be rabbit, antelope and crocodile ;D

Seriously, Tartary, try grilled pork chop, from the neck of the animal, if possible. Nothing beats that. Nothing.

I tried, but did not like much. I usually prefer veal or lamb when I feel like eating meat, of course in the form of kebab. ;D
