I speak English/French/Greek.... I would like to learn Spanish... cause it's quickly replacing English in America. There's some truth too that, although I wouldn't say it' replacing it. Many Americans are scared shitless that it is though. Whenever you call customer service in the US "Para Espanol" you have to "oprima el numero dos". Many Albanians who work in Italian restaurants in NYC have to learn Spanish to communicate with the kitchen workers who are predominantly Ecuadorians/Mexicans and too illiterate to learn any English.

I took 6 years of Spanish. Easiest language to pick up. Would love to learn French but too intimidated by the pronounciation.

I want to learn Farsi. From what I have heard from my friend and his family speaking it, it is a beautifull language. I speak English, Greek, used to be fluent in Italian but forgot the vast majority and understand Spanish. If I had to I would re-learn Italian again that way I would pick up Spanish much easier. I believe Spanish and Italian are probably two of the most similar Latin based languages.
On a side note, when someone hears something they don't understand in many countries they say 'Sounds Greek to me!' But us Greeks always say 'Sounds Chinese to me!' So I wonder, if I spoke both Chinese and Greek what other language would I say it 'Sound like...'??

I want to learn Farsi. From what I have heard from my friend and his family speaking it, it is a beautifull language. It's a very melodic language...in my opinion it can sound really beautiful but it can also end up sounding funny, when spoken TOO melodic. My father-in-law, when he speaks Farsi...I can't help but laugh my ass off even when he's dead serious. You'd have to hear and see it but it's just not right to hear him talk all loud and angry in such a melodic language, lol. My husband has a bit of accent when he speaks Farsi so he doesn't speak as melodic and well...I'm even "worse". Generally, I probably do have accent problems...because I've had to learn so many different languages from childhood ; when I speak Arabic, Farsi and Kurdish I'm being told my Danish accent comes through. When I speak Danish I'm being told my Mid Eastern accent slightly comes through. It's only when I speak English or French that I'm being told I have a proper American accent or proper French/Belgian accent. Weird, since these two languages are the languages I've spoken for the least amount of time...

I'd definetely want to learn a non-Indoeuropean language, either a Sino-Tibetan language (Mandarin perhaps) or Arabic.
Oh, as for Farsi, there is a large Persian community here in Sweden and one of my best friends is from Iran. So I've heard the language being spoken several times. Ir is very melodic and sexy when spoken by women, but when guys speak it, it just sounds gay!

Donnie, lol! Some men can sound really gay when speaking Farsi, I agree. It's mostly the "posh" ones from Tehran who add the extra melody when they speak. I'll see if I can get my friend to re-send me the video he made where he talks like that, and post it here ;D.
Aadmin, yeah, it's Farsi.

My friends are from Afghanistan, so I suppose there accent doesn't sound gay to me. It may very well be the Posh Tehranians who sound that way. Of course I only hear the sons(3 of them) speaking to their mother.

Fucking latinos!!!! They are Americas' "Muslims".
They are totally de-cooling America and making it primitive.Somebody needs to start killing them. If only the Spanish conquitadors could control their lust and not destroy their culture with those yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyish!!!!!!! Then Spanish would be more cool. I'm responding to Kanaris by the way.
Anyway, yes I would learn to speak Spanish.
But,right now,I'm working to improve my first language,English.I'm learning how to write stuff and working on my grammar which is really bad.Ask Anittas.

People make too much of it. Most of those Mexicans would love to speak a perfect English and those who have been in America for long enough are starting to develop a weak English they use to be middle men between the new ones and the non-Spanish speaking Americans. Give them a generation and they will become nice Americans. Just like the Italians, Poles, Chinese... etc. etc. They may take a little longer, but they lust to be like those white Americans they see eating the food they prepare.

I have NEVER been to America but I watch alot of American reality tv shows and you see those Mexican ghettoes there, eeewww they make America look bad. Just last week I was watching The Apprentice and the team was at one shopping mall to do their task and they approached the Latinos who were plentiful there and so many of the Latinos didnt understand them. They were like "oh no,they dont speak English,I dont think they understood us,there are lots of Latinos here"..... Just you see, those Latinos, their accents, and their Spanglish!!!! They like to fuck up English=you are my mamacita. That really gets my nerves on! You see the men as well, they act like uneducated thugs. Whats that song? The one with Fergie? Wind it up wha wind it up or something like that, yeah! That one! That song she duets with the savage and you see how he raps.Thats what I'm talking about when it comes to Latino men! I really hope America gives back some of the southwest to Mexico so much of the Mexicans will be locked to Mexico and America will be betterrrrrrr!!!!!!!!! America better listen to me,they better shape up(Americanize) those Latinos or they are going down down down losing their coolness and nice image.

Castillan Spanish, Athenian Greek, Toscan Italian, Provencal French, also Montenegrin Albanian and Russian. You'd probably have an easier time learning tosk Albanian, or even better yet, Arvanitka
