NOVI SAD -- A Vojvodina non-government group wants local authorities to “apply the law” and prohibit concerts by neo-Nazi bands. The Graðanska Vojvodina NGO says that a Hungarian neo-Nazi band is due to hold a concert on November 17 in Subotica, and a rally has also been scheduled where László Toroczkai, the informal head of the Youth Movement of 64 Counties, will give a speech. Toroczkai’s group is treated as an extremist group by Hungarian authorities. In response, Subotica Municipal President Geza Kuèera has also called a counter-rally. “We remind the authorities and public that neo-Nazis and similar extremists have been labeled a threat to the safety of our citizens and the stability of Serbia in a report by the director of the Security Information Agency Rade Bulatoviæ,” Kuèera said. The NGO reminded the Interior Ministry that Toroczkai’s movement was an extremist group whose goal was to restore the so-called “Greater Hungary.” Graðanska Vojvodina has called on authorities to prohibit the concert and extremist gatherings in line with the law of the land. “We would also like to congratulate our anti-fascist friends in the Czech Republic who were able to stop the planned neo-Nazi march through a Jewish ghetto in Prague, thanks to a public consensus on the issue,” the NGO stated. www.b92.net/eng/news/society-article.php?yyyy=2007&mm=11&dd=13&nav_id=45340

I remember l read from somewhere a couple of years ago of them organising this type of event. This is a worrying sign, and it tells me that many of the older generation are pumping the idea of nazism to the younger.
