Really? I have never liked lamb, it's a very strong fatty flavour compared to other meats. I'll have to try that recipe though, even vegetarian version. That's the thing, the rice tastes quiet light. The lamb is mainly used to create a nice sauce, and as you said, since its a more fat meat, it creates a nicer richer sauce. But yeah, chicken would do. The meat itself is not a huge deal, it tastes nicer with bits of lamb or chicken inside, but the meat is key for sauce.

I like the look of the Bengali Pulav.
Only problem is have to go to an indian store (we have one) to get all the different spices.
I don't like it too spicey though, cause at a certain point, you don't know what the fuck you are eating.

^^^I would but I don't know exact quantities, I just put what I know, so if I tell you it may be wrong. But here's one. WONTONS 50 wonton wrappers 1/2kg pork mince (about pound or so I guess) same of prawns (finely slices very small pieces) bunch of spring onions finely chopped about 5 tbs soy sauce 3 or 4 tbs sweet chili sauce about a tsp of vegeta about 2tbs of pepper mix all of these on a bowl, and then spoon the mixture into the wrappers, make sure you put water on the ends so they stick together and wrap like a letter diagonally, making sure it's closed properly. you can steam in water or shallow/deep fry only for a few minutes so it's not dry. you can put them in a chicken broth soup with finely chooped veggies like carrot, bean sprouts, brocolli, or serve by themselves if u fry them with dipping sauces. The outside should look like this. www.taste.com.au/how+to/articles/302/make+wontons

It's the best, if it's just pork it lacks for me, I do my spring rolls similar aswell.
hmm what it tastes like...well a wonton is like a kind of pasta i guess, think of it like that, the wonton wrappers that is. The filling u can do anything really.
