Exposed: how Kosovo Serbs were butchered for organs
Former Chief Prosecutor at the International Court of Justice in the Hague has given details of suspected atrocities by ethnic Albanians in Kosovo in 1999. Carla Del Ponte's book 'The Hunt: Me and War crimes' claims that before killing Serbs and members of other ethnic communities, Kosovo Albanians removed their organs to sell for transplants.
According to Del Ponte, a one-time prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, the kidnapped Serbs were given a medical test. Those who passed were treated well, fed and looked after until they were brought under the surgeon’s knife.
From several concentration camps in Kosovo, they were then transferred to cities in the north of Albania. Their body parts were later flown to Europe.
General Mamir Stayanovich was head of the intelligence service of the Serbian army during the war.
He has no doubt that the claims in Del Ponte’s book will sooner or later be proven. The places she mentions as hidden operation rooms are in exactly the same location as the camps Albanians used for training soldiers.
“In these hospitals they decided amongst themsemselves what each commander of the KLA would have after victory. They decided who would make his money from drug dealing, who from weapons, and who from selling body parts. Hashim Thaci, the prime minister, was among them,” General Stayanovich claims.
There are more than 2,000 names on the list of missing Serbs. Sima Spasich is the leader of an organisation trying to discover their fate. He showed the pictures of body parts he filmed in 2003.
“Right after the war, when we understood that too many people had disappeared, I went to the K-For commanders and asked them where were the people, and they just shrugged their shoulders. Only after they saw Serbian people demonstrating and were afraid of their anger, they took me to some place,” Spasich said.
“I cannot explain what I saw there. It was a small mountain of pieces of bodies and the first thing I saw was a baby who’d been taken from his mother’s stomach, lying there. It was impossible to look. It was a massive grave they’d dug before. Today I know in this massive grave were 26 Serb bodies - also there was my brother Milosh,” Spasich added.
Families who once had a small glimmer of hope of finding their loved ones are now planning to sue Del Ponte. They claim she withheld this information for years - and in that way helped the criminals with their crime.

This is truly a piece of propaganda worthy of goebbels medal of honor. What or who is ponte's source for this information? What evidence is there to show us that this place in Albania exists? Also, for Spasich, if this is true what he says, he was at this mass grave, he could have called for an investigation of this grave and I'm sure the investigation had been done by int'l groups. To let something like this go unnoticed shows us how Serbs themselves don't go all out to find out what happened to those bodies in the mass grave he said he saw after being taken to see this grave by some UN person. He doesn't even give the name of this UN person. So much for giving us information we can follow up on. “In these hospitals they decided amongst themsemselves what each commander of the KLA would have after victory. They decided who would make his money from drug dealing, who from weapons, and who from selling body parts. Hashim Thaci, the prime minister, was among them,” General Stayanovich makes this claim and he offers the public nothing on what his source is for this information. mapko, you, as a lawyer, should know better than to go by on heresay bull.

As i stated in another thread my wish is that this is all lies as I cannot even begin to think of how these people suffered knowing they where to be organ farms........ According to Del ponte they had one organ extracted and then kept alive untill another order came in, they where begging to be killed.
One would think that Pristina would be eager to launch an investigation to prove that none of this happened but they are flatly refusing ...
Warning to you try to derail this topic and you will be deleted instantly.

If such a thing had really happened, we (I want to hope) are all eager to know the truth and put all those who were responsible in front of the justice.
Mutilations by part of Serbs are well known. Let's hope no more took place in Balkans. I want to believe it is a lie and propaganda.

^^what makes her different today than yesterday is the fact that she needs to produce evidence of these kinds of allegations because all she doing is making serbs heartsick over this kind of uncorroborated statements. She's just digging her own grave and one 4 those she thinks she's helping.

She has no reason to lie. Even if she wanted book sales she would have known that by peddling the same old lies she would have gotten more sales in other parts of Europe. She didn’t need Serbian money.

Your right there pyrros. Sooner or latter this would have come out. Better now while its still fresh. The saddest part to all this is that Thaci, Ceku and Ramushhhh have decided to add human organs to their drug smuggling, arms dealing, people smuggling, money laundering, murder, war crimes and stealing to their criminal portfolio. You see, this is what they wanted Kosovo for all this time. Shame on the US for supporting such a criminal enterprise.

That's what Guardian says, and I think it tells us the credibility of Del Ponte: Del Ponte's account is the first time such allegations have come from such an authoritative source. But officials and analysts are surprised that she should choose to air them now, five years after her investigators went to the alleged scene of the crime. Del Ponte writes that it proved impossible at the time to pursue a full investigation of the claims. "I am surprised at the extraordinary serious allegations," said one senior tribunal official. "These allegations have formed no part of any investigation by the prosecution at the tribunal." Mirko Klarin, an authority on the tribunal and Balkan war crimes at the Institute for War and Peace Reporting, described Del Ponte's allegations as "irresponsible and appalling ... This is more journalistic than prosecutorial. She shouldn't put rumours in her book." The Swiss foreign ministry barred Del Ponte, now its ambassador to Argentina, from attending her book launch and ordered her to keep quiet. Senior Swiss figures are calling for her resignation. www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/apr/12/warcrimes.kosovo

"Exposed" ? It's all rumours so far, so nothing has been "exposed". This is typical journalistic sensationalism that tries to sell rumours as fact. Del Ponte is known to have displayd quite an antipathy for the KLA and its leaders. Why not make money while hating, eh? Furthermore, how come this was only made public NINE years later? Del Ponte says "it was not possible to conduct an investigation then" -- why not? This is, if true, a most serious issue, a despicable act of crime; it should have been thouroughly investigated. Infact, del Ponte should be charged for withholding this type of information for so long ! But personally I cannot but suspect that this is mere propaganda. I mean, look at the article; WTF? This is the number of missing ALBANIANS, not Serbs! This is what the Human Rights Watch reported on the Serbs in 1999; www.hrw.org/reports/1999/kosov2/The period in question being 1998-99. Now 'atleast' means that the figure might've risen somewhat, but not by much. Whereas del Ponte claims that as many as 300 Serbs were put in "concentration camps" where they were made "organ cattle". It sees a little too suspicious for me ... not to mention that this information was only made public recently. Perhaps del Ponte was encouraged financially by Serbs to publish hearsays ... I mean, nowhere is this really presented as 'fact', but it is easily interpreted as such ... and regardless if it is untrue, a damage is nevertheless inflicted on the KLA's reputation, including the former KLA leaders who now lead Kosova's institutions and represent our people.

Totaly aggree with you, a thourough investigation should be held and if she did withhold this information she should expose who made her keep quite about this..if anybody, and yes they should be charged. It is suspicios though why your government refuses to investigate, you would think they would jump at the chance to prove this wrong but instead they just blatently refuse to cooperate...why ? I trully do hope its all BS for reasons I stated in earlier posts but if its true then this is not just a local war crime but a international crime and will have huge repurcussions.

I'm going to have to agree with the Albanians here, Carla Del Ponte has been a long time genocidal Serb apologist, paid off by Serb lobby groups using money made from genocide. ;D
