Serbia War Veterans Sick, Depressed - Report Belgrade | 29 January 2009 |
BelgradeA survey has shown that Serbia's war veterans suffer from ill health much more than the rest of the country's population, with many fighting depression and alcoholism, AP reported.
The survey was released by the Serbian government on Thursday. It was conducted by social workers and doctors in 2007-2008.
Officials say the results show that 84 percent of veterans from the 1991-1999 Yugoslav wars have health problems, including mental health ones.
The survey also shows that 8.8 percent of war veterans suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, while an additional 20 percent had suffered from PTSD in the past. Some 54 percent have mental problems, most commonly depression and alcoholism.
Social Care Minister Rasim Ljajic says government will set up aid centers for the veterans to address the problems.

This is what happens when you attack civilian populations, women and children and the unarmed. It's called your conscience and it is telling them that they need to stop acting like such d-bags and accept responsibility for what they have done to themselves and others...

^ The same thing exists in all veterans, not just Serbia's. Essentially, don't fight a war if you don't want to deal with your conscience.
anyways, these people are all serbs from Bosnia, probably not Serbian citizens and if they are they probably volunteered for the war. Rasim Ljajic should sya any treatment for them should be taking on by Dodik not Serbia [exception should be those that were press ganged in refugee camps in Serbia]

When the call goes out to fight all support is given when it ends there is no support and most are abandoned.
Its the same story all over the globe.

lol coming from an american? HAHAH can it be more double moral... How many countrys have u invaded and bombed??? Dont you let me catch you going around saying that again or else..... USA does all this purely for democracy and human rights, hence the 700,000 dead Iraqis. As Madeleine Albright or should I say Marie Jana Korbelová said "It is un-american to stand by and watch" during her effort to get NATO to bomb Serbia. Now I often wonder why the USA/freedom,democracy and human rights protectors only intervene in situations where money is to be made or those that are of political and strategic interests to them. Now we all remember the massacres in Rwanda and Liberia, yet the US did f**k ALL, and why? Because they had no personal interests there. My ass protecting freedom and human rights. So let me get this right, NATO spent a f**k load of money to save a bunch of Albanians yet they refrained from saving the 800,000-1,000,000 massacred in rwanda. Having said that, I was watching a documentary about American veterans from the 1991 Gulf War who got exposed to high levels of radiation as a result of depleted uranium munitions (NOTE: Depelted Uranium Munitions are prohibited to be used by the UN, yet the USA uses them freely). When they got home and started experiencing all these medical conditions, the US government did f**k all to help. There was this one guy who had some severe issues and the US Army would only allow him to see the Army doctor. Then he said that eventhough he had some issues/pain in his left shoulder the army doctor would only check his right shoulder telling him that the right shoulder was only covered by some veterans insurance....etc These documentaries are for your f*ggot n**g**r ass swans. Take a real good look at what your Government is doing before you open your dirty mouth again. The US military kills its own: Maj. How could I forget to include Agent orange... thank you skoric for the addition. My sister whilst she was a med student had her 2 month compulsory placement in vietnam. She said that the effect of Agent orange were still so strongly felt and seen today on birth defects and illness.
As far as I am concerned USA would have to top the charts of world's greatest evil powers/terrorist organizations and criminals, closely followed by Nazi Germany and UK. No other nation has been involved in so many conflicts over the last 70 years and has killed so many people without facing justice as has the USA and all that in some name of democracy or freedom. By now only the redneck hillbilly fags like niggerswans are buying these democracy/freedom/human rights/WMD stories these days.
What makes all this even worse is when Terrorists (USA) are calling Iraqis terrorist who are essentially only defending their homeland. But sooner or later justice will be served. With 50 states, the USA is going to fall apart just like all Unions eventually do.

Agent Orange won't go away for 200 years at least. It's in the soil, and the turnover rate is good for soil in Vietnam since its got a very wet climate. Poor kids though. I've seen official government documents from the CIA where they dropped it. Very toxic shit indeed, since its been recorded to kill trees in a matter of 50 minutes (US Army's way of clearing out a thick bush/jungle).

And yet we do not see any american going to the Hague! But wait a second, in the name of "democracy" and "freedom" it is OK to pollute an entire region that is going to have severe side effects for the population for hundreds (agent orange) to thousands (depleted uranium and nuclear bombs - japan) of years.
Without doubt americans have performed some of the world's worst war crimes in modern human history and yet not one single american has bee held accountable for it. I guess when you are the bully you do as you please.
I find it funny though how now the Russians have started playing the same game: Oh look over there... "TERRORISTS" ok that is good enough to move in and kill them all. This world is a joke.

I don't know if many people know, but at the rate the world is going, we are setting ourselves up for another world war. It's a sad fact that they divided us Yugoslav's to chose sides (After all, the war was only about money, and they used propaganda and nationalism to cover it up, and you have one hell of a recipe for meltdown)

And no Blackswans you're not Bosnian. I know it breaks your heart, but you're a war criminal American child mutator. How could I forget to include Agent orange... thank you skoric for the addition. My sister whilst she was a med student had her 2 month compulsory placement in vietnam. She said that the effect of Agent orange were still so strongly felt and seen today on birth defects and illness. Damn i wouldnt be able to handle going there and seeing them face to face. Anyways Agent Orange wasnt the only bad things from Vietnam. Lets not forget Operation Search and Destroy where entire villages were burnt down to the ground. Aswell as Operation rolling thunder where tonnes of bombs were carpet bombed across entire jungles and villages.
