Nice. Why did they put Stefan's sword next to a Samurai outfit? You didn't know Stefan employed samurai in his outfit? I mean, look at Anittas.

Are you really the author of those photos? Do you really afford to travel to all those museums and take photos? I envy you.

Did you take that little cowboy hat made out of straws with you in Turkey?

Kefalus, are you stupid? What's the relevance to that? Stop making foolish comments, please.
Cognate, what do you work with?

Cognate, what do you work with? All races: white, black, yellow, red. English, French, German, Belgian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Vietnamese, Iranian, Iraqi, Israeli, Australian, Argentine, Brazilian, Swiss, Turkish, Greek, Hungarian, Romanian, Serbian, Croat, Navajo, Apache, and lots of Americans. I'm a scientist, working for a top research laboratory (that I'm sure you have heard of). I am also the humblest person I know.

Good for you. I won't ask for further details, since I'm sure you won't be willing to disclose more information.

And why is his sword in an Istanbul museum?

And why is his sword in an Istanbul museum? It is a shame indeed, but such things happen all the time. Why is half of the Parthenon in the British Museum?

I aksed because I read the Wiki article carefully and I couldn't understand how his sword might have ended up in Istanbul.

I aksed because I read the Wiki article carefully and I couldn't understand how his sword might have ended up in Istanbul. I don't know. It might have been taken by the Ottomans decades or centuries after his death. As you know, Moldova did not keep its independence for long following Stefan's death.

I think they took it during the reign of Rares, altough I could be mistaken. The Ottomans at the time believed that the sword had astral powers and they would remain undefeated as long as they possessed over the sword. They've shown great respect to the artifact and there's no reason to remain bitter, since it promotes Romanian history. This remind me when I read of the time when Caesar entered a Gallic village and finding his sword from a battle that he had previously lost. His centurions hurried to get him the sword, but he refused, ordering that the sword be left intact in its place. Years later, he would weep when Cleopatra showed him the sword of Alexander.

The movie about Stephen was of poor quality. The fuy fought 36 battles and they show only one. The cinematography is of poor quality. The Oltenian Ceasescu invested heavily in the movie about Oltenian Michael the Brave.

Dej was a purebred Moldavian Romanian, from the region Stephen spent his childhood... why didn't he do one?

I have actually watched the movie about him. This and one named something like Domnul Marin Billionaire "Nea Marin milionar"- I've seen it twice on Bulgarska Televizia before '89 (key word= "praz")! Annitas is right: Stefan the Great deserved more. Nowadays, Basescu and Voronin could work on a co- production!
