DEFENDING champion Novak Djokovic has issued an ominous warning that he's fit, fresh and primed for an attempt at a third Australian Open. Djokovic said he couldn't be better prepared for the inevitably more demanding challenges after demolishing France's birthday boy Nicolas Mahut 6-0 6-1 6-1.Djokovic's dominance was so complete that it seemed Mahut, part of the longest grand slam tournament match in history (11hr 5min with American John Isner in the 2010 Wimbledon first round), may create unwanted history this time. The courtside match clock ticked over an agonising 36 minutes before the Frenchman, who turned 30 yesterday, finally got on the scoreboard.www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/tennis/novak-djokovics-free-lesson-only-gift-for-frenchman-nicolas-mahut/story-fn77kxzt-1226250290929

The Serbian ended last year ranked No1 despite struggling in the first half of 2009, but outplayed the Russian to claim her second title of the year. "It's a good win for me, I'm happy that I'm back," said Jankovic, who has climbed to No4 in the world rankings after her efforts in Cincinnati. They almost look like sisters. Jankovic is 100% Turkic. She might be a descendant of the Cumans. Lol at Serbians looking like Turks or other Balkics. They seemed to think they looked more like Russians on anthroscape.

They can look more like us, since they were looking different before their European janissaries ;D

Doon't you have Eurosport in Serbia?! Yes, there is. I don't watch it though. There is even better sports regional channel called Sport Klub TV. They broadcast there everything interesting concerning football, basketball and tennis. Anyway I was talking about national TV(RTS 1 and RTS 2)

Australian Open 2012Novak Djokovic outlasts Andy MurrayMELBOURNE, Australia -- Novak Djokovic overcame his breathing problems and fatigue to beat friend Andy Murray 6-3, 3-6, 6-7 (4), 6-1, 7-5 Friday in a nearly five-hour Australian Open semifinal. "I'm extremely delighted to be in the final," Djokovic said. "What can be a bigger challenge than playing against Rafa Nadal, one of the greatest players ever."- Djokovic's 70-6 win-loss record in 2011 included those six wins over Nadal in finals -- including Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. However, Nadal will have an extra day to prepare for this final. espn.go.com/tennis/aus12/story/_/id/7509354/2012-australian-open-novak-djokovic-tops-andy-murray-marathon-semifinalNovak Djokovic outlasts Andy Murray in Australian Open five-set epicDespite appearing tired and sore from the second set, Djokovic rallied to beat Murray 6-3, 3-6, 6-7 (4), 6-1, 7-5 in a rematch of the 2011 final at Melbourne Park to reach his third consecutive Grand Slam final. sports.nationalpost.com/2012/01/27/novak-djokovic-outlasts-andy-murray-in-australian-open-five-set-epic/

Novak Djokovic beats Andy Murray in five-set epic In six finals last year - two of them at Wimbledon and the US Open - Djokovic was the victor. Never has Nadal been dominated to such an extent. In the off-season he has added weight to his racket in a bid to increase the weight of his shots. Tomorrow night provides the first test of that possible solution. Where the first semi-final was an epic battle of former world No.1's at the peak of their games, this was a match that ebbed and flowed in both standard and energy, though that did not diminish the drama. If Rafa ripped a place in the final from Federer with some amazing shot-making, neither player last night seemed to want to take responsibility for winning the semi-final until the very end. After the pair split the opening two sets - Murray was passive and errant in the first but dominant in the second as Djokovic again showed signs of being in great physical distress - it seemed the spot would hinge on who prevailed in a tight third set. www.theaustralian.com.au/news/sport/novak-djokovic-beats-andy-murray-in-five-set-epic/story-e6frg7mf-1226255855279What a great match to watch just before work Respect to Murray for a great effort.

Murray did well in my opinion, but Novak is straight up intimidating even when he's not feeling 100%. He couldn't breath properly at one point of the game and continued to demolish.

Novak Djokovic proves king in epic final over Rafael Nadal NOVAK Djokovic confirmed his credentials as one of the great champions of tennis when defeating Rafael Nadal in a remarkable and record-breaking Australian Open final. The defending champion overcame a 4-2 deficit in the deciding set to win 5-7 6-4 6-2 6-7 (5) 7-5 in a 5.53-hour epic that will be recognised as an all-time classic given it became the longest grand slam final ever and also the longest Australian Open match ever. Shortly before last year's US Open, Nadal made an admission startling given his status as a champion. He conceded in an interview in New York that Djokovic had him beaten mentally. He knew it. His rival knew it. The interview confirmed what the world suspected. Djokovic does to Nadal when the Spaniard does to Roger Federer at grand slam level. The Serbian, of course, claimed the US Crown. And it is difficult to argue that he has not set the pattern for 2012 given his victory after dropping the opening set. www.theaustralian.com.au/news/sport/novak-djokovic-proves-king-in-epic-final/story-fnbe6xeb-1226256792701 - ya, that's right AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
