BANJALUKA, May 15 (FENA) – Instead of the Zlatiste cross monument, RS Government will financially support the construction of church at this location, RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik stated in Banja Luka on Wednesday.
”The Church should serve as a permanent symbol of killings of Serbs in Sarajevo”, RS Prime Minister stated.
”The truth about killings of Serbs in Sarajevo needs to be determined”, he concluded.
The initiative was supported by representatives of RS Association of Concentration Camps’ Survivors and other vital organizations which advocated the construction of cross monument on Zlatiste.
Dodik stated that killings of Serbs started in the Dobrovoljacka Street in Sarajevo. Several thousands of Serbs were killed from the hand of the regime which had ruled the city at the time.
”We agreed the construction of a monument – church, which will contain the names of over 6.200 Serbs killed in Sarajevo”, President of RS Union of Concentration Camps Survivors Branislav Dukic stated.
Metropolitan Nikolaj supported the construction of the church, Dukic said.
RS Prime Minister stated that the initiative of RS Concentration Camps Survivors for initiation of criminal procedure against BiH Federation because of pain suffered by prisoners at concentration camps is legitimate. He promised that the Government will support the process.

The head lady in Sarajevo said from the start the city has no objection to churches. Glad Dodik was able to calm the rest of those idiots down.

I do believe that there should be at least an inquiry into the Serbian civillians killed by the gangsters and police in Sarajevo at the begining of the war. It should be established who did the killing and who didn't prevent the killings from taking place. I think most of us understand generally what happened. It should be held in the context of what was happening in and around Sarajevo in 1992-93 because it wasn't just Serbs being abused and killed by gangsters and the paramilitary formations.
My friends father was a doctor and during the war the power came on during the night after not having electricity for along time. they lived in a high rise close to the Serb positions in Grbavica/Hrsano and his father was almost killed by a Bosnian sniper when this happened. They know that were the shot came from Bosnian Armija held positions not Serbian. They were watching TV and the bullet barely missed him by a couple of inches while he sat on the couch.

They should build the church in Sarajevo since they died in Sarajevo. Right?

Any Serb that follows orders from Turkish spawn is not fit to be called a Serb. Build a cross with 4 C's and the Muslims can build a crescent moon on the other side of the city if they wish.

Well, this is yet another step for government to totally ignore separation of church and state and turn the country into a theocratic/ethnocentric battlefield. Who has the biggest d**k in turn translates who has the biggest cross/church/mosque/etc.

Politicians within the government can be religious without turning the government for which they work for into a theocracy.

The government is sponsoring church building. They can be religious but when they start erecting their personal beliefs then their intentions can be questioned.

So if the government financially supports the building of a religious structure then they are automatically going to become a theocratic regime?

^ That's not what he said, and why do you twist his words like that. I think you know what he means well when he says what he does. If the Government sponsors that chit, that mean it has a preference for that religion which makes them tied with the Church. He specifically said that Governments and Religious Institutions should be kept apart, or else you will start getting a heap of extremists (religious/nationalist).
Quit acting so stupid on the whole issue. The man wrote it plainly and simply, and there was nothing to confuse/misunderstand.

Outrage at Serb plan for church on Sarajevo heightsSarajevo mayor Semiha Borovac warned against construction of religious buildings on the heights from which the people of the capital were shelled and shot by snipers. "I believe the building of a church will not improve reconciliation between Bosnian peoples," Borovac said in a statement to Reuters.
She added that the previous plan to erect the cross on Trebevic hill had been dismissed as a provocation by both the local and the international community. uk.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUKL1561463420080515Sve im smeta!

The lack of a separation between state and church would imply that he was talking about a theocratic government. Don't play stupid with me. Sve im smeta! What do you expect? Their ancestors were disappointed that they couldn't wipe out the native Serbs (instead committing themselves to outbreed the local Christians) and they have resented us ever since. Our constant refusal to die or be assimilated is an insult to them.

No one in Bosnia tried to wipe out the Serbs not the Ottoman Turks or Bosniaks. You expatriates need to prove your serbhood by trying to out serb the natives back home. You end up looking like a monkey who spouts garbage that maybe your grandpa said after WW2 when he fled Yugoslavia becuase he was a coward who was afraid he would have to pay his dues for what he did during WW2. Or your just regurgitating the same old noize that we have heard from the inbred hill people who sow fear and discourse in order to line there pockets with stolen money because they can't offer real solutions. With all the economic problems in BiH the last thing they should be spending money and energy on is the building of a church or any other similar object.
