Are there any Albanian sources about a possible Illyrian coat of arms? The Bosnian medieval sources suggest this: Are there any Albanian sources that can confirm this or suggest some alternatives? And yes your national hero’s family symbols are there too: PS. it seems to be the same kind of star in both pictures

At least no one has changed them for the past 700 years. Do you want me to post the original coat of arms of Serbia? ;D

How about you post the original names of your forefathers before they became Alija, Mirza, Fihret itd...

We have already discussed that issue, you wanted to look into my family tree so I gave you my last name but you "couldn’t trace it back to anyone specific"

The Illyrians had a Sun as their god and as their flag, they were sun worshippers. Here is a drawing of Illyrian Warriors against the Romans. You can see the sun flag.

Ok this thread is so many with so many symbols from communist relics to middle ages to illyrian coins.
This is a hard subject that even researched on Illyria would find difficult to answer.

This one is the Muzaka (aka Musachi) Family's emblem, from Southern Albania, in the Muzeqe area. That jewish looking star was actually worshipped by illyrians as a god and so is the sun.

The star and crescent is one of those things found commonly among many culture, like the swastika. I believe it originated in the east and moved westward to represent Anatolia. Its a very very common Persian motif. The motif may have come to Anatolia and then Europe through the Hellenistic Persian rulers of Anatolia (like Mithridates) and maybe also through the adoption of various Persian cults (like Mithras).
The Double Headed eagle also has its origins in eastern motifs and moved westward through adoption into the Roman and later east Roman empires.
