Can anyone give me some examples of ancient Illyrian traditions surviving in modern Albanian folklore?

Well the fact that Albanians are largely paganist in their rituals like the Illyrians (for example we celebrate "Christmas" on New Year's Eve and hold the same paganist traditions trees, gifts etc) We are also very superstious, and serious about it.
^^ this video is a better example of Albanian folklore surviving through music. The first song is about a thief, the second about a groom, the third about what kind of name they're going to name the baby(they decide on a brave name like Skenderbeg lol)
I hope that answered some of your questions. Also the tale of the boy and the eagle, the story of the beauty of the earth "E bukura e dheut" and the wolf that changes his fur but not his habits are some stories that have survived through word of mouth, I'm guesseing they have Illyrian origins.

UNESCO on Albanian Polyphonic Heritage Lahuta - Highland Lute the lute in kosova other stuff would be like st george or shen gjergj which is a pagan festival for albanians and is celebrated by both christians and muslims (bektashis) folk tails and legends other www.elsie.de/pub/pdf_books/B2001AlbFolktalesLegends.pdftraditional costumes (xhubleta - the oldest female costume in europe)...and this costume that the males wear in this video but without the adopted turban which was adopted from the east by the albo mercenaries... Perhaps this video shows some of the costumes and other instruments used by illyrians Another continuation of culture is the law of canon or kanun...which was the natural law the Albanians lived for centuries, it is believed to be a older law than the time of Skenderbe since the kanun of Skenderbe, or Leke Dukagjini, and the southern Albanian kanun were basically the same! Perendi The Albanian thunder god of Illyrian origin. He is the consort of Prende, the goddess of love. Perendi is identical with the Lithuanian Perkunas and the Latvian Perkons. ...

Thanks, I can recognize some of it in the stories of Victor Eftimiu, an Aromanian writer from Albania who emigrated to Romania.

This Folklor, Costumes, Cultur is similar to Greeks but not Illyrian. You dude are really funny Read some history first Greeks and Illyrians were the ancient Balkanic and European stock. Greeks colonized few Illyrian colonies and and of course is a Greek Influence in Illyrian culture and later a strong Roman Influence after becoming part of Roman empire. By all the well known historians and academics Link Albanians with Illyrians

This Folklor, Costumes, Cultur is similar to Greeks but not Illyrian. Quite disturbing what people do in the name of ethnicity/division.
