The proof is in the pudding. Resolution 1244 is still in force as is UNMIK as is EULEX which takes its orders from UNMIK. As we all know Resolution 1244 reafirms souvergnty within Serbia, it does not give Kosovo independance. UDI are not valid nor are they legal. Just because someone else may agree with the UDI, it still does not make it legal. So there's your proof. Your just like all the other twats I consistantly shoot down. How is 1244 resolution that you like to use as your weak proof not respected or mean anything to all these 56 countries that has recognised Kosovo as fully Independend country, your claim that Republic of Kosovo does not exist is more emotional than a realistical claim, according to these 56 countries Republic Of Kosovo does Exist so disprove that reality, its going to be very hard to you because it is something REAL!. So that must mean that the 140 odd other countries must respect Reslolution 1244, according to your logic, doesn't it.

So according to the UN, Serbia owns the Trepca mines. According to 50 or so countries, the Albanian majority gov't within Kosovo owns Trepca.
This is a debate for the ages.

Its deciving which is probably why there is not many answers to be found Trepca mines is a vast complex which is a conglomerate and is technically all over Kosovo.
the mines that are in the Serb north are, Belo brdo, Cicavica,Koporice and zuta prlina Lead zinc mines and
The mines around the Gjilane area are flooded and unusable they also where/are Lead zinc mines.
the lignite mines are the ones close to Pristina and are being used now by KEK for electricity.
the mine around Djakovica is also in use and its a chrome mine.
So as you can all see Trepca is a complex all over Kosovo not a specific area.
Ownership is still in dispute a Greek company has claims as well as a British company and what complicates it more is they are trying to work out what exactly was sold when there is mention of Trepca mines. The UN are still technically the custodians of the Trepca mines but nobody really knows what is the "Trepca mines".
At first in 2000 they thought it was a priceless mine full of gold silver etc but now its been found that most of it is worthless domesticaly it is worth a lot as its lignite coal levels are vast but the rest of the complex is not worth the millions it will take to bring it back to operational levels there is massive lead contamination which would on its own cost millions and millions of dollars to clean up also the Nato bomb damage has contributed to lead contamination also.
