"But the Armenians around Plovdiv (the Paulicians) were bulgarized, it is attested in alot of sources."

i dont know for Bulgaria... but in Greece they were never Hellenized .Even today they have their own institutions, basket and football teams, they learn their language during weekends etc etc.
They were always the Armenians. Good people... but "not us"... I believe they feel this way too. They'r proud for their origins and that is good.
"Most probably alot of Thracians in northeast Greece were hellenized. There are alot of documents that talk about SETTLEMENTS in Greece, Bulgaria and the whole of the Balkans. Later those tribes disapear assimilated by the surrounding majority, leaving just place names etc. Also in 16-Bulgarians, Greeks, Albanians etc lived in one town or village.
But of course you are free to think otherwise."

I speak ONLY about Macedonia region. That is where my knowledge comes from and that is what I speak for. In Macedonia Greeks, Bulgarians or Albs were NEVER leaving together. There is not even ONE example of a mixed village.
Thessaloniki as a big city and centre of commerce of the Ottoman empire is out of it ofcourse.... although even in Thessaloniki the neighborhouds were NOT mixed!
(Mazower in his book "Thessaloniki city of Ghosts" states it clearly in almost every passage!
Greeks in the center and the center/east. Jews in the center and center/west. Turks in the west and north.
Even in a big city... they were "them" and "us"in every point of life! )
