Ljubo, torlak was never spoken in sumadija that is nonsense
If you go by that ridiculous theory then that means ekavica never existed.
And yes, Mijaks used to live closer to Montenegro than they do now, they even wear similar hats to the Montenegrins. And like us, call their national dance the "oro".
Many more words are common/similar between our languages, and we both use today:
Rabota, Gordost, Zboriti, Kromid, Lasno, Golem, Pipun

a quote from Cvijich:
Serbian tribes from Albania, retreating before the Albanians, increased the proportion of Serbs in Macedonia. Those from Skadar spread throughout Macedonia, Old Serbia and Sredska, in the basin of Tetovo, Porech and Bitolj, on the upper reaches of Pchinja, etc. Serbs from Albania, from the valley of the Macha and the districts of Mokra, Chermenika, etc..., settled mainly in western Macedonia (in the neighborhood of Debar, the Mijach region, Mavrovo, etc.). There are also some of them in Upper Pchinja who came from Elbasan." During the migration under Patriach Arsenije 3 Crnojevich, many Serbs left Kratovo.
Some church records places 50% of Serbs ancestry (voivodina serbs) from Vardar.

But there were never serbs in skadar or Albania, Cvijic was a Ultra-nationalistic serb and is not to be trusted.

^ that is why the majority of time in this topic l have avoided quoting from Serbs, because they get dismissed by people like you who make up maps etc.....

Don't you dare accuse me of making up maps, that's preposterous!
So anyway Cvijic is a no-no, too unreliable.

So Noam Chomski should abandon philosophy/politics, since he has been an professor of applied mathematics, which doesn't have to do anything with politics? As far as geological research is concerned, this could be a useful tool in archaeological research. Any tool of science could be proven valuable, and most importantly the common denominator of all scientific fields: LOGIC. Pyrros, Better leave Chomsky out of this. As to the connection between geology and archeology, who said anything about archeology? The good German geologist was commenting about language, specifically whether local dialects were more Serbian or more Bulgarian. No sifting through shards of pottery, nor drilling for oil, nor digging for coal or copper. "Better leave Chomsky out of this.", whatever you say, but why? Please comment on the analogy if you can, (but i conclude you cant). Now about a geologist commenting on languages, my cousin is a pharmacist (by degree), and knows 5 languages. Should i shoot her or what. I know that the stereotype "what you wrote is stupid" has been overplayed in these forums, but you leave me no choice but to replay it once more: Your argument about the Geologist commenting on the Serb and Bulgarian languages was stupid! Prove me this guy DID NOT know both languages very well. Also keep in mind that unlike today (with all the anti-serb frenzy) back in the times of Romantism, ppl used to learn Serbian just to be able to read the Serbian local folk fairy tales. I am a programmer trying to learn Serbian, are you gonna deny me this right? Jesus, cognate, for a vlach activist, liberitarian type of dude , you scored really low.

For instance, for last year we say 'lani' but Montenegrins also use this word. Share your thoughts/knowledge..thanks Hi, Ljubotan "Lani" is used throughout Bulgaria and I think in Croatia and Bosnia also, like in the song - "ko je moga zamisliti lani da ce Bozic slavit partizani". Or this - lani je bio mraz

Now about a geologist commenting on languages, my cousin is a pharmacist (by degree), and knows 5 languages. Should i shoot her or what. I speak eighteen languages: Serbian, Montenegrin, Croatian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Macedonian (Vardarskan to you), Vlach, Romanian, Latin, Italian, French, Castilian, Mexican, Argentine, English, American, Canadian, and Australian. In fact more, but I'm not gonna bother to list them. You have expressed several times your desire to shoot someone (including me), but you have failed to act on it. So I'm not too concerned for your cousin's safety.

i dont know what to say really. You muted me man! How clever of you! impressed. I never said anything close to shooting you, but who am i to talk, infront of your highness, you know better. You possess the knowledge all that languages after all. You also never answered a single answer i posed to you, but i guess there should be a hidden reason for that, that i am too naive and peasant to understand. Again sorry for abusing your kindness to speak to a humble person like me.

Still no one of our Serb friends bothered to answer why did the fyroms accept the Bulgarian rules they had as theirs (Samuel), but the Serbian ones are regarded as Serbian (Krali Marko)? If they were of "mixed" religion why dont they accept both or ignore both?
