Wow, MiG, I take my hat of to you. Not too many people these days would see Tito as their hero, seems to have gone out of 'fashion'. The wars and the damage done to each other has almost made it a betrayal for people to view Tito, the man responsible for uniting the people, as their hero. Without offence, I was pleasantly surprised that a Croat would put Tito has their hero. Good on you.
I also view Tito as a hero for me. I dont see anyone posting their sporting heroes up yet? One of my greatest ever sporting (Football) heroes would have to be Prosinecki.

Good choice. Tito was smart he played both the west and the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia then was like a mini USSR. He was also well respected by world leaders. I believe he was an important figure of the 20th century.

Did you ever read Atheist Universe or God is Not Great? How about watched Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11 or Sicko? I doubt you have, because if you did, you would have a much different opinion.

I doubt you have, because if you did, you would have a much different opinion. I haven't read anything by the slop, Hitchens. I have read the God Delusion, read a couple of essays of his on evolution and I saw his hard talk interview -- I find him to be a hypocrite and a man who has a perveted Darwinist view. I also agree with Christopher Hedges (atheist, who defended religion in his book "I Don't Believe in Atheists") that Dawkins is the voice of a new militant type of atheist. Regarding Michael Moore. I like his movies, I've seen all of them and I've read one of his books. But the simple fact is there are serious problems in some of the claims he makes. I suggest you watch "Manufacturing Dissent" in it you'll see your hero Hitchens criticize him. None of the men you listed wrote The Atheist Universe.

Why didn't you just add Hitler to that. Anyway, my hero, Tito, why, because he kicked Pavelics' a$$ all the way to Argentina. Still that wasn't enough, he hunted the maggot down and killed him. True justice. Tito didn't kill him. Pavelic died of old age in Spain. There were two assasination attempts on him -- one by a Chetnik who fled to Argentina and the other one reportedly by a UDBA agent.

From the book "Two bullets for Pavelic". Just cause someone has a hero you dislike doesnt mean you have to confront them over it. For example if Cikola considers Pavelic his hero just let it go, he's entighttled to his opinion so lets just keep this thread clean from stupid repetetive obvious arguments. Point taken.

If someone for example named Charles Manson as their hero for killing and torture, would that be deemed to be ok. Or if someone mentioned a known peodophile as a hero, would that be ok as well?
Freedom of speech is fine, but as I have said before, there is a responsibilty attached.

In all his life, Blagoje Jovovic proved to be faithful and sincere Serbian patriot, a worthy descendant of Duke Bjeli Pavle. Because of his heart, all honorable and patriotic Serbs who knew him compare him to Gavrilo Princip. Serbian history has yet to write about Blagoje… Our friend Blagoje was born in the village of Kosic, near Danilovgrad, in 1922, in the clan of the Bjelopavlici, to the well-known, patriarchal family of Jovovici, from the union of his father, Jovo, and his mother, Radusa Delibasic. Raised in the spirit of Saint Sava, Kosovo and the Serbian people, Blagoje lived with these qualities until the final moments of his life.

True justice. Tito didn't kill him. Pavelic died of old age in Spain. There were two assasination attempts on him -- one by a Chetnik who fled to Argentina and the other one reportedly by a UDBA agent. Ive read he died from his wounds in spain after an assasination attempt in argentina? If someone for example named Charles Manson as their hero for killing and torture, would that be deemed to be ok. Or if someone mentioned a known peodophile as a hero, would that be ok as well? Freedom of speech is fine, but as I have said before, there is a responsibilty attached. There are some people who actually do consider charlie manson a hero. But im not gonna waste my time critisizing them, it wont change their mind.

My heroes are Zoran Djindjic for overthrowing Slobodan Milosevic and Milorad Ulemek for killing Zoran Djindjic. I don’t really have any heroes because every potential hero has as many vices as they do virtues.

Hitchens is a drunkard but I agree with his standpoint towards religion. Nothing else though because he does have an extremist point of view.
How is Dawkins perverting Darwin's theory?
"But the simple fact is there are serious problems in some of the claims he makes"
Yes, there are a lot of criticisms. But I like how he, and no one else, brings issues forward that are very important. Like the health insurance crisis in his latest movie.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't hold any of these people in absolute terms as I accept their faults, no one is perfect and they are all human. But at the basis of their character I can see their intent which I agree with.
