I think he is infatuated with the Greek culture that part that is especially Albanian in nature.
But if Aadmin would denounce modern nationalism ideas(the fact that he is Montenegrin Serb), he would support this union. Yet he does not...

But if Aadmin would renounce modern nationalism ideas(the fact that he is Montenegrin Serb), he would support this union. Yet he does not... He wants to be Greeks... its quite sad and pathetic to watch, but he desperately wants it. And by pushing up this whole "Dorian" notion and making Albs closer to Greeks as possible, he himself can then claim closer ancestry since it gets closer to his native "Black Mountain Shkja"... LOL!!! Its the saddest thing ever...

Exactly. He is not really interested in Hellenic values. Otherwise he would support a Greco-Albanian union.
He is interested in having a connection of Greeks with the Slavs(his kin).

"New Albania" ? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Is there anyone who thinks that has any dose of true?? If yes,I suppose Fyromskis are comparably the most reasonable people in Balkans... ;D About the union that some wanted back in the second half of the 19th century, you better thank Allah that didn't happen for you...Arvanites as carriers of Greek nationalism would be the perfect medium to hellenize all of your barbarian habits and language... ;D But don't relax...we will hellenize you all one day... ;D ;D...be careful... ;D...hide back in your caves and on the tops of the trees...make tribe councils...and follow your chieftain's or the tribe's magician advice...

We tottaly agree.... except 1-2 points. 1st) is that If somebody of Albanian origins denounce his roots its not because of political situation or relations between the 2 countries... but because of Albanian themselves. Dont forget that Albanians, at least the last 10-20 years had not very good reputation as far as it concerns them and the laws.. Also.... that "villager in the city" syndrom that all Albanians had when they came from mountainous isolated villages in cities around globe. Now... lets say you're of Albanian origins... and now you're in a different level. You have worked hard.. you have won reputation.. maybe money.. maybe glory. You have given your kids a great education in a very expensive college. ....and suddenly... somebody with the previous characteristics (the ones with the law problems or the "villager in city syndrome" comes and spreads out the news that youre relatives! Would you be happy with that? Would you expose your Albanian origins without giving it a second thought? So dont blaim always the Greeks for everything. Try for once to blaim yourselves too... That is true, the "peasants" are despised by pretty much all city-dwellers, it happened in Albania too after the fall of communism and people were allowed to move freely to the cities, especially the capital. But what you just wrote proves my point that any Greek of Albanian origin is more inclined to hide his origin and even outright deny it because of fear of association with the newcomers. For me.. the word "Albanian" is a new invention. There were the Greeks in South and Central Epirus..... they were the Ghejks (an ancient tribe.. not necessery Illyrians but ancient tribe too) in Norther todays Albania.... and there Tosks in North Epirus.. a tribe that was a mixture of Greeks and Ghejks. Most propably they took the Greek characteristics, religion and paterns of behavior... and they took many language infuences, other paterns of behavior and some other stuff from the northern tribes of Ghejks. So.. according my theory ...... These Christian Albanians were nothing more than Greeks in an extend who fought for their nation. After the continous interaction with Greeks... they kept only their Greek part and lost their Ghejk part... So these Christian Albanians were Greeks even though the term Greek is recent? Or do you mean Hellenes and Romiois as well when you use such term? Why do you insist on using the Albanian tribal names when the term "Greek" was alien to your forefathers of 200 years ago? The Ghegs and Tosks are Albanian just like the Maniotes are Greeks. We also call ourselves Shqiptar, a fact that might have escaped you not Albanian, a term used by foreigners to refer to us. That might have caused your confusion. Both the Greek and Albanian identities are inventions of the last two hundred years after nationalism swept Europe. Greeks were propped up by Russians so they could take advantage of the decline of the Ottoman empire and extend their sphere of influence. Albanians on the other hand were propped by the Italians and Austrians for their expansive interests. We're seeing this process occur before our very own eyes in the Republic of Macedonia nowadays where a new nation is forming a new identity. 200 years from now their identity won't be disputed anymore, unless of course the Albanians there have overtaken the Macedonians through demographic growth and have joined Albania and Kosova in a new nation.

Chieftains? Tribe councils? Why are you insulting the Suliots? They had tribal councils. And what about the Maniots?

Firstly that was 2 centuries ago, and secondly they did their...councils for good purpose...such as revolutions ;D. Were there magicians among the fis like the Indians? PS. ngadhnjyesi "Greek"-"Ghraikos" was never a name that we used for ourselves, very rarely and by some only. And saying "Romioi" or "Hellenes" we mean the same people.

Isomniac "But my focus was on the dual state, not on the hellenic culture of Southern Albanians and it also mentions Ghegs "being our brothers" who were completely uninfluenced by Greeks. " ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- That is included into my super theory!

Lets say that... about "my middle" tribe in the middle of Greeks and that northern ancient tribe in the north of todays Albania ... these can be the "Albanians" of Greece.. By the way.. the key point of the post was different... about how much Albanians are to blaim for some situations and not always the Greeks. Also that Greek or Romios or Hellenas was always the same for us. That is why we dont have a problem whatever word you use among them. All of them were used to describe the same thing; The continouation and common characteristics of a specific race under occupation.. us.

Emperor AAdmin - Christian Albanians from the south (Epirots) are of Hellenic stock (page 70 , 12th line, states "They (Christian Albanians to the south, Epirots) look at themselves as inseparable members of Hellenic race") It also mentions "Southern Albanians, who have even smothering of the Hellenic culture" (Page 70. 5th line from the bottom) "southern albanians always siding with greeks in all events" (Page 72, 4th line) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .... so close... so close.... I see it coming... ..... me... on a balcony... and crowd shouting and praising me for my super theory!! ...its coming... its coming....
