^ LOL. Amen to that observation. At least they'll have a longer dogfight ability if need be. But you know, fuel costs are up, so they'll be good in that department.

nah, but for real. Bosnia lacks basic equpiment, we need new rifles, IFV and choppers, not that there is money for that... Anyways, as far as equipment, be it air or land, I would go Russian with Western electronics... unit costs of Mi's and MiG's are much lower, well wikipedia says so in any case...

If they get 8 of them I would guess 4 would be based in Tuzla or Mostar while 4 would be based in Banjaluka. I think the OSBiH rule is to have a 2/3 of "everything" in FBiH. It turns out that Mostar is not used by the Air Force, the 4 Airbases are: Sarajevo Airport Banja Luka Airport Tuzla Airport Coralici Airfield (in the Bihac-Cazin area) The budget of the air arm is the smallest budget of European air forces, but has large number of ammunition like rockets, bombs etc. The Air force holds a Nato standard on the army. The air arm has three special unit battalion. From 2010 two Mil Mi-17 be operating in Afghanistan with 6 pilots and 30 troops from the army.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Force_and_Anti-Aircraft_Defense
