There are two Bosnians (Bosniaks) playing for a team in Norway and after one of them scored a goal they went down and did a prayer. That was followed by one of the players pretend f'ing one of them as they were praying. Rascic was fine with it but the other guy (who it was done to) was pissed off. fotball.bt.no/eliteserien/article143511.ece

Personally, I found it kinda funny. Doing a prayer as a goal celebration is just so tacky and makes no sense.

Are you kidding me?
At least half of players make the cross sign, Kaka roams around with "I belong to Jesus" shirts, I quite frankly don't see the difference, also given the fact that anyone with minimal knowledge on the subject knows this isn't a proper prayer which takes at least around 4 minutes to be done while this is just a sign of gratitude to Allah.
But obviously Islam and muslims are a category apart that is considered normal to make fun of.
And manijak, I understand it might be normal to you, but if someone tried to fuck me while I'm thanking God that would make me go mad too. Unbelievable, but it's true.

It's fucking funny to be taken from behind whilst doing it...but here you go again, oh poor muslims...I never pointed out Islam....I think it's not the place to do any signs or praying...I myself have said thigs aloud whilst scoring, but never any religious gestures. It's wrong.
You telling me how long it goes for. I spent many trips with my Lebanese friend who would all of a sudden excuse himself and dissapear for minutes. I am well aware of the time frames and have heard him pray, sitting and waiting while doing nothing...peacuful.
Anyways, this has made my facebook lol! Thanks for sharing the gluposti!

I understand you find being taken from behind by a dick funny and enjoyable, it just isn't to a heterosexual male who is thanking God, I don't think it's such a difficult concept to grasp.
Besides, my post wasn't directed to you only, but to manijak also.
And if you knew what a prayer was you wouldn't have said he was praying. Makes sense.

It's true but I find all the political stuff, religious stuff on the footy field equally dumb. Few points though.. 1) Thanking god for scoring a goal is kinda petty imo. I mean we should thank him for real blessings in our life. And I think Islam especially believes this. Because while it is normal for a christian to pray and ask for petty things..it is i'm sure looked down on in Islam more. 2) These guys play in Norway. No offense but if god really blessed you in terms of fudbal, you would be in a top league...not some league nobody cares about lol 3) There is a difference saying a prayer before a game (where u are in control) or lifting up your shirt, because otherwise, in a goal celebration..you have no control. Your teammates naturally want to congrats you, jump on you, hug you, etc and its just not a good time to do something like that. what if I did it while you weren't praying? haha i kid

Players have kissed the ground before in celebration - it's not exactly seen as a muslim only thhing - the guy who came from behind was probably none the wiser to its religious meaning. It lasted less than a second ffs.

Christian footballers have been crossing themselves for aeons. Muslims having no similar equivalent leaves them in a very awkward position. Kneeling over like that just isn't as cool. Having said that yeah it's not a very nice thing what that guy did so I feel bad about laughing bit.
I remember one of the first times I've seen a player cross himself was Dragan Stojkovic in this legendary game at the World Cup in Italy 1990 when Yugoslavia beat Spain 2-1.
lol just realized he did the Catholic cross left right instead of right left the first time.

That was funny. I enjoyed it. Thanks.
In all seriousness, thanking God for scoring a goal or whatever is the stupidest thing ever. Keep that BS private and off the turf where it doesn't belong.

Oh man, this is great. This just makes us look absoloutely innocent. Thanks! I love prejudice towards my religion! It only proves my points and makes those people look stupid. Anyways, I don't only thank God for scoring a goal. I thank him for letting me breathe, eat, walk, blink and every activity I do. Because I'm a human being, I'm weak. And if you secularists or non-muslims are gonna mock me for it. Go all guns blazing please. I'm a Muslim, and I submit to God to the best of my ability. Am I perfect? No. Do I commit sins and do bad things? Yes, I'm a weak human being. And at least Jesus christ PBUH bowed down on the ground. I don't think he crossed himself? Are you gonna mock Jesus for bowing to God? Just who are they following then if not their Messiah/Son of God? I'm following Prophets from the Bible and the Quran where as you guys are following things not ordained by prophets. And Malcolm X is great, especially his autobiography(which I'm reading). You should read about what the man had to say, maybe you'd drop some of that stupid nationalism and hatred for a group of people. And realize that you had no choosing to be a Bosnian Serb, that it was ordained for you. I didn't chose to be a Bosniak with "serb ancestry" as you say. But I'm happy with it, especially with my Serb ancestry, considering the fact that I know that my family, regardless of its ethnicity are for the most part hard working people from the balkans. But yeah, keep on attacking Muslims and Bosniaks via an internet forum. That's really cool, it's a total example of being civil. Vozdra jarane . And no I won't pray for the virgin count. I'll pray that humanity succeeds, and that we're all kept out of hellfire, I'll pray that I can love my enemies, regardless if they hate everything that I am and believe in, and that I make sure that I don't stoop down to their ignorance. I'll love the Orthodox Christians more then you can ever hate Islam. You can post tons of offenses towards my religion or Prophet Muhammad(pbuh), I've heard probably all of them, but rmember that you should clean your own house before trying to clean up someone elses my friend . And if you wanna have a civilized dialogue about Christianity and Islam, I'm all for it.

It's true but I find all the political stuff, religious stuff on the footy field equally dumb. for someone who lives out of foodball must be a blessing. well Islamically wise you accept even little things with piety and happiness As I have posted above, TONS of christian players do it, they have their seconds where they thank God and noone jumps on them. I don't see the similiarities with trying to fuck someone while he's thanking God and jumping on him out of celebration, good thing if you do.
