No.. like 1821 (we were the ones who started the end tittles ofOttoman Empire) and 1913 when we kicked them out of Balkans. Basil, If Russia, France and the British Empire were not around, then I could have been your boss instead of some American from overseas. ;D and you are far way? 150.000 and growing in Greece whilst there is only one patriarch and 3.000 aged Greeks in Turkey. ;D Organized defence? You think this is football or basketball game? You know that you can not get organized, particularly when you feel the Turk breathing behind you. ;D

Basil, If Russia, France and the British Empire were not around, then I could have been your boss instead of some American from overseas. ;D Why then you...who were osmanli aslans....gazis... couldn't crush a rebellion by a bunch of rebels... for so many years...with a huge population against less than 900.000 Moraites and Roumeliotes Greeks...? Turks had lost all the lands in south Greece despite the waves of haldups, araps, konyalis, arnavuds etc that were launched against us. Turkish navy couldn't even exit Bosporos because of the fire ships... you could only hired some araps for Misir...and Tunezi... that managed to capture one two castles while the rest south Greece remained free... The three big powers gave a political end... in a de facto situation... no pasha or imam could rule down here... This was the beginning of the end of the Empire.... and we had the pleasure to be the leaders in this demolition. 150.000 and growing in Greece whilst there is only one patriarch and 3.000 aged Greeks in Turkey. ;D Its true. We acted much european... we had to kick all the mehmetia in Asia... And after that... Janny ...you pretend to care about human rights of the immigrants...

This was the beginning of the end of the Empire.... and we had the pleasure to be the leaders in this demolition. You miss more than a couple of points: 1. The Ottoman Empire lost three major wars against Russia prior to the Greek Revolt (between 1768 and 1812). The outcome of the wars were severe financial and military weaknesses. 2. Ottoman efforts to modernize its military resulted in destruction of the Janissary troops in 1826, which conversely devastated the Ottoman war efforts against Russia. 3. There was no Turkish navy back due to naval battles lost to Russia. That is why, Ottomans even relied on the naval forces of the revolting Egyptian governer. 4. Those three European powers actively supported the Greek revolts, destroyed the Turco-Egyptian fleet, and most importantly, the Russians used this opportunity to wage war on the Ottomans. 5. Ultimately, it was the military strength of Russia, which forced the Ottomans to accept the peace terms after the Russian troops captured Edirne in the west, and Kars in the east. It is too late for you to kick them out. Yes, I care about immigrants, what is your point?

;D Keep them there...if you care so much... As a descendant of the Turkic nomads from Eurasia steppes, I believe in freedom of movement of people. So, I think Turkey is doing the right thing. After all, it was the Europeans, which created so much contrast amongst the societies all across the world. It is redemption time.
