I think bulgarians should give away the slavic influence and adopt the latin one. Latin? ? Why? We were never latins. Nor were u. U were Dacians that started speaking Latin. If we should embrace smth it should be Thracian language, but as it is extinct, I think the most logical is to stick to the Slavic.

No, latin is something that was superior to Dacians. You should do the same, now slavic means backwards.

Sure... I hope for something positive at the end. Thracian legacy has been denyed for too long and that's not good for us.. Hightime time for some change.
Superman, from the begining Dacians were not latin ppl at all. They adopted latin speech after Dacia became province of the Roman Empire. The original languige of Dacians was very close to the one of Thracians.

Well, not the language itself but the culture was superior. Think about the rules, roman law, poetry, philosophy...etc

yes Bonni it was so superior that Allah has cursed them so much because those Romans were worshipping everyday more than 21 different gods, yuck man. Rome was also a home to extreme Mobs, that's why Julius Caesar was stabbed to death while his precious sexy looking Cleopatra was fvcked by Caesar's friend very good that she enjoyed it and she died sortly. good culture Bonni.

Well now u arent Romans, u are Romanians - mainly Dacians, who got romanized, but also who assimilated lots of people also: Slavs, eventually Bulgars, Cummans, as a whole:the same we assimilated. We are not ashamed of our common history. In a way, this thread is also an indication for this. We kind of agree here that genetically we are mainly the Thracians, which according to greeks were closely related to the Dacians, if not the same people. Thus the physical resemblance between you and us. Plus lots of common hystory (u have been for a long time part of the Bulgarian empire, vlach people have played their role in the empire too). Later the Bulgarian culture have influence on the vlach people, even after we went under the otomans.

but if we can have such good relations why you don't recognize Vlachs as Romanians in Bulgaria?? They are around 0,5 millions now. Acording to article 6 of the Constitution of Bulgaria, all Bulgarian citizens are equal, it doesnt matter if they differ based on race, religion, ethnos, sex etc. There is freedom of expression. All can say whatever that what. Its a fact. The problem is there are not almost any Vlach people left here, due to intermerrages or just assimilation (but not a state policy, just the vlach people have adopted bg conciousness). The same happened in north Dobrudga in Romania (almost no bg left). Actually around 1945 there were little ro in bg and vise versa due to the exchange of the people (there were lots of contract). Whoever says the oposite is a romanian nationalist and most importantly-a dreamer.

well have you found romanians who are not nationalists? all of them we are! that doesn't make us as dreamers, but patriots the problem is that you included in the census: Vlach, although they are Romanians. There aren't vlachs and Romanians only Romanians.

There aren't vlachs and Romanians only Romanians. Well everyone knows that Vlach=Romanian (the north one though, that live in bg). Megleno romans and those in Greece are not Romanians or at least they dont think so (as far as I know). No, we didnt include anything in the census. All citizens were free to write down what they please. Its good to be patriot, yet u have to think about the issues and NOT live in dreamland. I m bulgarian patriot yet I know and accept the realities (for example that macedonia is lost for bg, which is actually a good thing in the long run, cause we would be directly conected if a war strikes with the albos).

Now in modern days, there are no longer Dacians or Thracians but RO and BG citizen. Btw, I give you pics of how a vlah apperiance was described, several centuries back in time.. Quite thraco/dacian look..
