Do I have the feeling that some people try to equalize the way an American cop uses his gun... with a European or Greek cop? Are we getting crazy in this forum?! It is world wide known that cops in America first shoot and then ask! Almost everyday there is a killing in US from a cop bullet!
To start with... a Greek cop can shoot ONLY if he get shot!! By the law!! In America a cop can shoot if he BELIEVES the suspect will shoot him! By the law!!
Only that.. shows something. Toskali.. dont be an idiot.. for one more time.

A cop can shoot if he sees a gun pointed at him. No, US law does not say "believe", it states that a common is placed in immediate danger of losing his life. For instance if a criminal is going for a gun in his pocket. In these cases the cop can shoot, however, he is supposed to shoot to incapacitate. That is how it goes. Speak from knowledge, not from your ignorance. In fact, cops are not even supposed to draw their weapon unless in immediate danger.
Then is the FACT that a Greek police officer SHOT an UNARMED 15 year old kid. The cop took out his gun, saw a kid infront of him and decided to shoot.
Please bring the facts. Show statistics.

"For instance if a criminal is going for a gun in his pocket. In these cases the cop can shoot" ... I believe that says it all! Sometimes of course.. the gun in the pocket maybe a cell phone.. a wallet... a spasmodic moove etc etc etc.. as it usually is.. In Greece he can shoot ONLY if he get shot! HUGE difference! The cop in Greece who killed the child is in JAIL now! That means a lot too.. Evidence?! You're kidding one more time right? ;D Ok. Stay tuned the next period in this post... Of course at the end you will have to make your self-critisism.. as you always do. .right? ;D ;D

We burn half the country for Anything goes, I believe. That must be related to arsonist nature of the Rum mentality. Weren't you the ones who burned Izmir and other Anatolian cities? Why didn't we burn Saloniki when we lost the Balkan War? Think about it Basil. You are a clever Rum.

Meltdown..cut the BS man. Everyone knows that the police in america can shoot you down on the pretense of being attacked. Dont play stupid...i lived there almost all my life. You cant tell me that its not the way. Ive seen cops take out ppl like cupcakes instead of just disarming them or putting a shot in the leg or shoulder. Cut the crap man... Hell, I have to relatives thats a homicide detective and a cop in Chicago. They play hardball against drug dealing creeps and molesters But they personally dont taser kids..thank God for that..

First of all, look at the time distance between all of these. Your talking about a ountry of 300 million people. Ofcourse your going to have a number of stories. But did u bring an article mentioning a stray bullet? What about in your Crete where men shoot their guns in the air in celebration. I wonder, do the people who live near by keep their windows open throughout the whole thing? Secondly, many of those (like the one about 8 kids) are not shootings. That was a car crash. You did not bring real statistics like you said, only random news paper articles... those arent statistics. A lot of cops are a-holes, everyone knows that. They come from uneducated eschlons of society and some have a pretty trigger happy, particularly towards minorities. However, this is the case in almost any country but at least in the US there are enough groups in order to put serious pressure on police departments against these people.

In US there are some groups to put pressure to trigger happy cops.. and in Greece there is a whole nation. Thats the difference. Stop comparing a country with triger happy cowboys and John Wayne idols... with a continent with tottal different values. It looks silly... ..and also what has to do shooting on air during a wedding.. and shooting in bulls eyes during quarell? How you compare these 2 things when you speak about how much each one values human life? Its tottal different things to love the guns.. and use the guns by shooting to people.. .or even worst to children. Also.. regarding the numbers... In new Greek history 3 children have being killed by officers. One anarchist in 80's, one Serbian school boy in 90's and the last one.. again an anarchist. Now.. 10 million and 1 killing every almost 10 years. America is 300 million.. the equivelant is 30 every 10 years... means 3 per year. .. so.. since the killings of children in US are far more than 3 per year... and since we have been told that US is the cradle of democracy and civilization of the western world today...... means... someone is lying PS. Regarding the 8 victims of the crass.. you're right. Too much speed in searching.. Regarding all the other victims, I believe the interval is very very small... and remember.. I DIDNT include the unarmed victims who are 100 more than the children! Dont forget that.

Everybody is doing it. On the other hand... its normal for Turks not to burn down and destroy their Christian neighbors houses and shops. They have do much culture in their genes.. .they couldnt do something like that. I'm sure also bad commounist were in the Pogrom in Istanbul. Also they were the bad westerners who louted Konstantinoupolis after the conquer. Turks have class. Always had. I'm clever and I'm thinking. Do you use your brain capacity when you analyze info about your grandparents.. or just emotion?

yeap.. ofcourse Greeks burned down Smryni. Its a usual phenomenon to burn down your own house. Everybody is doing it. There is evidence suggesting that some Greco-Armenian militias started the fire. They vandalized the properties and goods in 1955, that is true. However, did not burn down Galata or Pera, Basil. Why? Because it was orchestrated by the government. Of course they could, but at least they did never act like the Greek army/militias. You guys burned everything down when you realized the loss of Anatolia. Did Turks burn anything in Serez? Not at all, Basil. How do I know, cause my father told me so.
