Bulgarians are citizen of modern Bulgaria. So pls, make difference between Bulgarians and the Bulgars.
Listen ugly,Hellenism or Hellenistic doesn't mean there were greeks living in the city. The whole Byzantium was hellenistic, but that doesn't mean there were greeks living in all over Panonia, Illyria, Thrace, Dacia, etc! Greeks were absent from these territories.
Stop poluting with your made up theories. Bogomils in BG were not any gypsies coming from Armenia or Syria.

This is something that perhaps remain for the history because there are quite a few Plovdiv citizens of Armenian origin but I am yet to see one tracing his/her roots to something else other than predecessors running away from the Ottoman genocide. As far as I was told, their temporary refugee camp wasnt far off from Plovdiv so even the ones that, say, arrived by boat in Varna were redirected there.

Armenians are the most loyal minority in Bulgaria, with most significant achievements in any sphere of society, culture, sports, you name it, compared to any other ethnic group.

I agree with Ruse. Armenians do almost always totally identify as Bulgarians.

I can only add that, most forms of heresies have roots from the Middle East. Knight Templars, Kabbalah, assasins, are worshipers of Mystery Babylon. In the west today such institutions are known as freemasons, Rose Cross order and Kabbalah. It is likely that certain Syrians created the bogomil sect, based on the history and origin of this secret occult.
