I wouldnt say thats a Greek med. type. There might be relatively many Greeks that look similar to him but I would say that type (no matter what subrace it is in the end) is rather indigenous to the Balkan than the Greek regions. As for what country from...this kind of look could be from everywhere...from Croatia down to Greece. Its not bound to one balkan people only.
As for the granny...she is too old to say...but she seems pretty light type..probably blond to dark blond in early years..

Shejtani would fit right in southern Albania. Fact is Tosks and Ghegs dont look different much. Both groups look like a mix of Med. Balkan. The average Tosk resembles a Croatian or perhaps an Italian rather than anyone else.

Btw, Shejtani... you suite up like a typical Balkan/Greek person. The way your dressed in the photo with the girl is like how 90% of all the men at Greek/Balkan weddings at my old restaurant were dressed. All you need is the long hair jelled back and an opened up top button to look like a grease ball.

I don't like to be dressed like that, but there was a party at university, and all the boys had to dress like that. ;D

Shejtani looks Ukrainian or Bulgarian. No doubt about that. Eastern Med mixed with Dinaric. Black sea region. Looks a little like somebody i know. He could also fit in with Albanian since there is little difference between the three groups. Makes sense considering where he is from (close to Montenegro & Sandzak). Look at his grandmothe she has a Slavic look.

Google Bulgarians and even Ukrainians and you'll find plenty of twin brothers. Albanians get mistaken for Slavs because in reality there is little difference between us and them. In terms of appearance.
Just wondering because you mention Shkodra. How do you speak everyday Albanian? In a Kosovar accent, shkodran accent or the literary type?

The literary leans more towards Tosk--indeed. The commies should have adopted a hybrid form. I find Geg dialect more beautiful and flowy.
"Gegnishtja asht e denje me u fole, me u kendue, me u shkrue e me u levrue si nji gjuhe e vertete"

Central Albanian Gheg is horrible and village Gheg of Shkoder is horrible as well. The Gheg of Fishta and Migjeni is on the otherhand absolutely beautiful.

Yes Fishta's Geg is beautiful. He was born in the village of Fishta in Lezhe. Too bad I speak a Tosk dialect that it is not as nice sounding as Fishta's Geg. That's what happens when you move around Albania so much. Lost the Geg dialect along the way.

Both members that posted their pics look like Bulgarians to me. On the other hand whereever I ve been in the Bolkans, I always thought those people resembled us (Serbs, Greeks, Croats, Romanians, Albanians, Montenegrins etc.)

Insomniac, you're from Fieri, right? You wouldn't look out of place in Kosova...Just goes to show that Albanians are very similar in terms of appearance whether they're from the deep south of Albania or the Northern extremeties of Kosova.

There's definetely a resemblance between you two guys. Overall, Albanians look the same regardless of which region you travel to, predominantly dinaric. There is only a height difference, with the northerners being generally taller than the southerners, which is probably diet related.
