Y-DNA or mtDNA do not determine your physical appearance. Your physical appearance is determined by your autosomal DNA. In other words, your specific traits are not caused by your Y-DNA haplogroup but by genes in other chromosomes. There might be correlation, but no causation. A common research fallacy. I'll repost my response. "Their haplogroup and autosomal DNA does not match or come close to any Yugoslav population," Can you please share with us this similarity in autosomal DNA between your folks and Ossetians? No one seems to be aware of this discovery, other than you.[/quote] Can't because they haven't been tested. If you'd like to fund the testing of +11 million people be my guest ;D

I don't think you can read. You said autosomal DNA is responsible for looks. So I asked to prove this theory/fantasy of yours with autosomal comparison. Apparently no study has noticed this amazing similarity between Serbs and Ossetians.

Important things to note: About 36 ethnicities here, 3,192 people tested...this means only 88 or so people per ethnicity, and there was most likely varying amounts above or below 88 people per ethnicity. This makes it much less accurate then you'd like to think of it as. No Caucasian people were tested. Once again, there are so many factors at play you cannot possibly expect genetic testing to accurately pinpoint the ancient ancestry of an entire ethnic group. It's might be plausible, but not possible.

@ulf i was, as well, under the impression that Celts were dark haired, and such, but i think brits are too much bastardized to draw conclusions by their look. I was in Cornwall (a Celtic stronghold in southwest England) last summer for business, and i noticed that the people were blond and tall, much more blond than in supposedly "saxon" areas (like south east England).
However, many people say that from the center of England up to Scotland, people tend to be smaller and have darker colors. While i was in London some 2-3 years ago, for work, there were at least two white-native Brits there, darker than me.

Pyrros its thread about Montenegrins and thus please don't write about Celtic people. I am fully aware how they look Krivosanin, ne znam da imam crnogorske krvi.
