Hey Kastor, sorry I... im responding so late. Im vacationing in Maui Hawaii right now. Nice news btw. Pics later. Hey Eva. If u knew anything about Gjirokaster (A,rgirokastro) u would know thats its a town not a village, Dropull is a village in its area, a dying one... like Himara, and the majority population of the area is Muslim Cham and Labs, like Enver Hoxha. The Greeks were never allowed in the city as permanent residents bcz they were tc and being the slaves oif the Muslims. Its why the city doesnt even have a church until very recently. it has on the otherhand two large mosques. The cirty is currently being renovated with the help of Turkey, my nations brother.) Saranda is also Cham and Lab Muslim.U should gop in the city when the ezan is blasting. The rest of the peasant villages, Dropull, drovijan, finiq, mesopotam, are Greek... and the averae age there is 60 without any celebration happening. Hey Basil, good news. A new age of radical Albanian nationalism is about to begin.... good news. DEATH TO THE LEFTISTS AND LONG LIVE THE BALLISTAT. bye, im going to be at the beach tomorrow. Maui black and then red sand.

Αριστοτέλη Γκούμα Αιωνία του η μνήμη και τα θερμά μου συληπητήρια στην οικογένειά του !
Under pressure from the Greek minority of Albania Greece and Greek Diaspora !
The Albanian Prime Minister Sahli Berisha ultimately a historical statement. Condemned the murder of Aristotelis Goumas and acknowledged a little the Greek-language of Chimariotes. PM Sali Berisha A, tried to manage the impracticably. First to silence an international outcry and pressure from abroad, but at the same time do not run against the climate of racism and Antihellenism planted decades in Albania - and on his own responsibility. In an official statement, two days after the crime against Aristotelis Goumas said: The murder of a man is an ugly crime, and a reprehensible act. The judicial authorities must arrest the offenders and bring him before the law. He continued by stressing the same statement that "the Albanians know that the community in this city of Himara is bilingual and has made it clear to his countrymen that everyone is free to respond in Greek and Albanian language. In the same statement Berisha added: We believe that there are not aware of the Albanian community in the bilingual city is not today, but many many years ago" Current statements Berisha, are likely to mark the change of attitude towards the Albanian state - at least a non-recognized Greek minority areas, Chimara. The international community and solidarity movements would actually consider the seriousness of the grounds of Mr Berisha and Albania and especially the sincerity of his intentions to recognize by Tirana.

Youre welcome.
The majority of those ppl who are young live and work in Greece and return only during summertime. There are no prospects for them in Himara, a little town/village compared to the large cities in Greece. Their future in Himara is a dark one, one of regression. I was actually in Himara 2008, and there were alot of Albs from the vicinity, in particular Tepelene-Mallakaster region, who had moved into the area, opening shops and restaurants. It is a dead cause.
This is actually true .. overall, the himariotes are not 'Greeks for pay', bcs they were 'Greeks' even before the 1990s; we have the known case of Spiro Spiromilo who with his andartes committed heinous crimes in Laberia against Muslim and Christian Albs, and who found support in Himara among the locals (Spiro, or Spyros, was himself from Himara, fara e Spiromilenjve). The himariotes are/were just like the Arvanites or Suliotes, Orthodox Albanians with undeveloped national consciousness, who learned Greek through trade primarily with Corfu and other islands. It is noteworthy that the Greek-speaking villages are all located along the sea, which explains how they picked up Greek; while the other Orthodox villagers fled to nearby mountains of Kurvelesh when the Turks raided their mountain homes, the people of Himara & Dhërmi who were closer to the sea, took their boats and fled to Corfu.
Thus alienated in their mountain stronghold from the rest of Albania, they formed a strong tie to Orthodox Greece in which they saw a closer ally than their Muslim neighbours and bretheren. They are thus a unique phenomenon of assimilation within our borders, an assimilation which however, it must be acknowledged, was not forced upon them. They are therefore voluntary Greeks, a worse fara than the Greeks themselves and I recognize them very much as such. But their origins is not "vorio epirotian", that should be acknowledged, as historical documents confirm. Just look at the clans with names like Gjikaj, Lekaj, Rexhaj, Nikaj etc, lol. Or Bollano, a name that actually originated from Kurvelesh, from the root "bollë" (snake) and suffix -ano., related to -anj, plural for a brotherhood. Even the faces of those ppl in those photos and videos are typically Lab & Cam, with the high instances of blondes and redheads.

Donnie... interesting analysis.... nevertheless when when waves the Greek flag and sings the national anthem ... you can't turn them away. That is what I was saying! To me theyre Greek, and the worst form of Greek at that. Theyre the zealous nationalist type in need of proving itself continuously. You never hear of this kind of BS going on in Dropull where the Greek minority is of undoubted Greek origins.

yeah ok....kanaris, kastorianos, karta and Tosmpanos must all be albanian too.
Albq, rex and a few other albs should be Greek or turkish since you guys don't 'fit the mold'.
Some of the stuff that I read here is ridiculous. Greeks have been in what is today's southern albania since the 4th c BC but oh no...according to donnie they learned Greek from being near the seacoast. Yes, that must be it.
There is centuries of history of these people yet you still believe in your own conspiracy theories.
