I consider north pontic Mediterranean Slavs as the most beautiful people, together with Hellenic, south Italian, south Bulgarian, Romanian, Scopjan and western Turkish southern Pontics. North pontics always had a place in the Hellenic world and this by the antiquity. In studying the racial composition of southern Russia, there was evidence of a moderately tall, long-headed, brunet Mediterranean form, which is concentrated along the northern shore of the Black Sea, but which also appears sporadically in the entire Russian population. To western Europeans and Americans, it is better known than its frequency would warrant, for it is exemplified by several world famous ballerinas and opera singers. This is the Mediterranean racial division which the Russian anthropologists call Pontic139 and which the Poles recognize as a very minor element in their own population. It is with little doubt of Neolithic date in southern Russia, Rumania, Bulgaria, and the Hellespont region, and probably in Greece and the Aegean. In most of Thrace it seems more basic than the Danubian, or at least more common. What its relationship may be to the introduction of the Neolithic economy into Europe by land or by sea, cannot be determined without more data. carnby.altervista.org/troe/12-16.htm

hmm, I can only speak from my experience, but the Greeks I saw were mostly Alpine-Mediterranean mix, which is how I imagined ancient Greeks, and many of them looks like so, for example Alexander the Great, Alcibiades, Archimedes of Syracuse...but, genetically, modern Macedonian Slavs are closer to Serbs and Bulgarians. In some southern parts of Republic Macedonia(in example Ohrid) you can see more people that look like Greeks, but the northern you go the closer to other two Slavic nations they are.

Honestly brate, besides the few in western Macedonia (Mijaci and Brsjaci), and those in the very south, they are Bulgarian by origin. Most do not appear Serbian in the slightest...very strange Bulgarian looks

Krivośanin, like I said earlier, western Macedonians are basically same as Serbs by appearance and also share many similar customs.
Apart from my travels in Skoplje and Ohrid, I went once through Bitolj by car. Those people definitively looked less Serbian, so I guess they are maybe more Bulgarian(however I don't know for sure, that's until I go to Bulgaria).

very strange Bulgarian looks What's so strange about the looks of Bulgarians? I don't mean anything offensive by it, it's just like a disproportionate look which seems to be a tendency with them.

I find it odd that just because you see Macedonians as looking different to Serbs, you then automatically dismiss them as looking like Bulgarians instead. Have you ever considered that maybe Macedonians look different to both Serbs AND Bulgarians?

^Maybe in pockets, but when looked at a larger scale they do have more of a Bulgarian look. Like this guy. If you were to ask me from which part of the Balkans he was I'd have to say Macedonia.

More Bulgarians: As it is obvious, we look the same as the Macedonians (because we are the same). No. On both counts.

I'm not Serb either.
If you're not going to accept me as being Macedonian, then I'd rather you just think of me as a random Slav instead of as either a Serb or a Bulgarian.
