Who are Međedović derived from? Danilović, Bovan (Višegrad), ranije Lučić ogranak Međedovića iz Drobnjaka; ( Drobnjak is Montenegrin Tribe) www.montenegro.org.au/D.htmlDrobnjaković, Risan (1692. god.) ogranak Mandića iz grupe Novljana; Pridvorica (Šavnik); peraška naselja (Boka Kotorska), porijeklom iz Stare Crne Gore; Bovan (Višegrad), ogranak Međedovića iz Drobnjaka; Drobnjaci sr.wikipedia.org/sr-el/%D0%94%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B1%D1%9A%D0%B0%D1%86%D0%B8PS: Hmmm, see nothing about any Bosnian roots. Don't be a dumbass. The origin of a surname and the origin of one person are completly different things. Shaquile O'Niel isn't Irish. And second, even looking for those so called "roots" is completly pintless in these cases, because if it did mean anything, a whole lot of Serbs, Bosniaks, Albanians, Montenegrins and others today, would be something completly different. ESPECIALY in Montenegro, where pretty much everyone either has Herzegovinian roots or Albanian roots. But they're not, they identify as what they feel they belong to. And Avdo called himself a Bosniak and said he spoke Bosnjacki, and is documented as such. End of story, assimilation (if that is the case here) is a bitch, but what can ya do, everyone does it. But I'm guessing you're Montenegrin since your egularly try to claim everything on God's green Earth as Montenegrin. Even though half the tiny country is called Old Herzegovina and the so called Montenegrin state fattened up generously at the expense of Bosnians and Albanians. And to the other poster, I'm not so sure that's a plis, there is plenty of similar headgear, and if it is, no shock there it's Sandzak, Albanians, Montenegrins and Bosniaks lived there together for a long long time. The Albanian roots of many Sandzak Bosniaks is no secret.

Don't be a dumbass. The origin of a surname and the origin of one person are completly different things. Shaquile O'Niel isn't Irish. Wow , what a valid comparison. A) 1) One one side you have a last name associated with Ireland which gave around 36 million at least partial descendants in US alone. In this case mixing with them or being descendant from their slaves (who took slave masters last name) explains the surname. 2) Secondly the surname is associated with Ulster or Northern Ireland thus could easily include some local protestants (called Scotch-Irish in US) which would now expands the number to additional 5 million at least partial descendants in US alone. In this case mixing with them or being descendant from their slaves (who took slave masters last name) explains the surname. B) Compare that with measly Montenegro which barely has influence only on some parts of western Balkans and here is a person born in Montenegro and belonging to a stock of people whose origins are associated with Old Montenegro for most part but have turned Muslim and many of whom now all of a sudden declared that they are Bosniak due to primarily political reasons. Again ... what a valid comparison.

Meh Si, Conando! runs around here blaming everyone for being biased when it's obvious the only source of material he's ever considered is bosnjaci.net.b(ULL)s(HIZER). Bosniak & Montenegrin ethnicity are for the most part are just formations of association through statehood preceded by Serbian ethnicity.

Obviously a Muslim of Montenegrin Serb/Slavic origin who seems to have been strongly impacted (by looking at the Plis) by neighboring Muslim Albanians...
I cant even say we are comparing Apples to Oranges. What is Bosnian outside of a Muslim Yugoslav?

Avdo Mededovic is Montenegrin.
The Plis on his head is also a Montenegrin Cap.
