you know better than to stoop to that level man, generalising an entire population by a handful of personal experiences u've had....i've had numerous encounters with romanians and i assure you most of them have been of a negative disposition, but i also have had many friends that i consider as good respectful people, i would never generalise though, i'd have to live in romania and travel the country for an extended period of time, get acquainted to the mentality of locals and then make a cocnlusive opinion on the people.
atd mate, a question but its kinda unrelated. See, my grandfather tells me that some years ago, he ran into a kosovar in istanbul. However, they had difficulty understanding each other. He says he learned albanian from his father and his father learned it from his father and so on. He probably speak 1850s version of albanian, is it normal for a kosovar not to understand him? He says they understood the main parts but not specific bits of the conversation.
Tosk and geg are two groups of dialects...now some (not all) Kosovar dialects are extreme geg while arvanite is extreme tosk.
ulf: There was volcano in Italy that shake the plates, and because this area lies on the rift between Eurasian and African tectonic plates it can be felt there. For the same reason earthquake near Crete occured hours ago.
