^That's like saying all Slavic countries with the Slavic colours are colonies of the Netherlands.

^ the flag of the Netherlands is much newer than the Slavic flags. lol Nope. The Russians got their flag design from the Dutch flag in the mid 17th century. The Russian flag was the first Slavic flag to use the Slavic colours.

I guess Croatia would be under the Dutch wing as well. Which would make more sense anyway (it's the same but with a coat of arms). Along with the Czech rep. and their sooped up version, and France, probably looking at it from being face down after a battle, having the sideway perspective.

Yes, and that's why it's absurd to say a country is a colony because of it's flag.

Yes, and that's why it's absurd to say a country is a colony because of it's flag. The Kosovo flag is ridiculously similiar to the EU flag. Albanians hate it, that's why they wave the Albanian flag.

The Russian and Dutch flag are closer, and they're completely different countries. The reason why Kosovo has that flag is because they have to be neutral so they don't offend the Albanians and Serbs in Kosovo. It's the same with Bosnia, they're trying to be neutral.
