didn't you say most turks are greeks? or something along those lines Yes, the modern Turks (not all) are Greeks who adopted the Turkic language and Islam. The Turkifcation of Anatolia was a gradual process, it started of when the Byzantines/ Romans/ Greeks lost the battle of Manzikert.

I agree with everything Greek1234 says, just keep in mind that the Turks turkified the Mediterranean Byzantines(Anatolians), who most of them were not Greeks of recent Greek ancestry but of very old, they were of Pelasgian origin. Carleton S. Coon classified the neo-Turks as south-east Europeans and Aris Poulianos the western neo-Turks as similar racially to Greeks and southern Bulgarians(Thracian origin). Turks are not only south-east European Mediterraneans but also Armenoids(Caucasians), Orientalid "Mediterraneans"(Middle Easterns), Alpines(both of south-east European origin and central European) and Mongoloids(Turanics).
