"EU is stealing our territory, and our jobs" Source: Tanjug
ŠABAC -- Opposition Serb Radical Party (SRS) deputy leader Zoran Krasić told a rally in the town of Šabac that Serbia "does not need the European Union".
He described his party as the only one fighting against the country's EU integrations.
"We do not need the EU, which is stealing Kosovo from us, while their companies are stealing jobs from our people. We are financing their companies which create few jobs, while our companies are in ruins," Krasić said.
He added that "stories about the good life in the EU are a myth" and that Serbia should be led by people "who have been consistent".
Aleksandar Martinović, another SRS vice-president, noted that politicians in Serbia needed to start acting responsibly and bear political responsibility.
"The government is now acting like they were the opposition and are offering programs in the campaign that they could have carried out over the last 12 years," noted Martinović.

^ Finally, something sane has come from Belgrade. I and couple of others here have been saying this for years now that the EU is the fourth Reich and won't be of any benefit to Serbia, Serbia will be the laborer class and the military class. All of our wealth will be handed over to Germany and she will be managing all of our affairs. Serbia is a nation and she is capable of handling her own affairs INDEPENDANTLY, she has been doing this for quite some time.
PS I can guarantee Serbia will lose Kosovo and her own soverignity (joining EU), she will become a semi failed state mirroring this current failed government of kosovo (a USA protectorate).

Man, Bulgaria is in EU, and the only decent place is Sofia. The other towns (like Pernik where I went in my constant hunt for Serbs) is a total ruin, where mostly gypsies live. All the factories have closed down. Also i heard a story about Swedes buying the biggest industrial complex in Vidin (Atan's hometown) in order .... just to close it down and kill the competition. Same thing they do in Serbia, they just buy cheap and kill their potential rivals.
PS
as you guessed bro, i am in Bulgaria and work here for the moment.

I'm not saying tha EU is an wonderland and all is well and beautiful etc There are some bad parts olso but the good parts make it for the bad ones.
Btw Bulgaria and Romania have only 5 years in EU did you expect a miracle in 5 years? It may pass 20 years maybe until they will reach Greece's level of development. Depends on how fast they will move. Look at Slovenia or Estonia. I'm sure that Serbia will be ahead of Romania and Bulgaria, i see how they are moving now and they are out of EU. They are taking funds from EU and some banks or foreing investers and making motorways. This means progress for Serbia, they have more to gain and less to loose.
Stop with balkan shit, nobody will have to buy nothing if somebody will not sell. The factory is in a bad shape and bulgarians dont want to invest in some new tehnologies. EU dosent say "sell this, sell that" they can only recommend something and oblige you to be at some standards. This is the balkanic mentality "we have to sell it because EU said so". No! They will sell it for some politicians to take some commision from the deal and to make some black money out of it.

Pyrro, its almost the same method when the west bombed the Serbs into making her give nearly all of her hard industry up. 1999, was a period of western commercial colonisation of Serbia.

How come the only decent place is Sofia? To which other places have you been, except Pernik? Pernik is crap, no doubt here but its situation has nothing to do with the EU. It was built by communists in order to develop heavy industry, which was funded by the state and after the failure of the communist system everything went down because it wasn't competitive. For your info, at least half of Pernik's population works in Sofia. How many Serbs did you find in Pernik? ;D Man, be careful there. Pernik's population is comprised of tough no-nonsense people. Do not make the mistake to say the thing you post here. A friendly advice. Atan's home town is Vratsa, not Vidin. As for the industrial complev there (Vida, if that is what you mean), it is a disaster for many years, mainly due to its former managers, corrupted privatization and poor marketing. Care to elaborate what exactly this Swedish company is planning to buy because Vida used to make clothes, tyres, chemical stuff and so on.

^^ novi brate , it will happen soon. I have only good things to say about them.
elemag Zdravej priatel, i have been also in Samokov and Borovec, food was crap, and there were more strip bars and brothels than decent taverns. Every colleague here at work (and they are all bulgarians) say that all money went in Sofia.
Today i took a lunch at the big park near vasil levski (ezero arijana), and a group of 4 pansioners sat in my table, and we started talking, they were taking 200 leva pension each..... 100 euro... when our deda in war torn Bosnia takes 200 euro.... What can i say man? We can see the most amazing cars here in Sofia, but ppl taking pension 100 euros?
Anyway, do not worry man, i have no intensions of serbifying the gypsies of pernik (the majority of the population there), but at work, when i speak serbian, some guys (from the west bulgaria) say : do not worry man, we understand everything...
another thing i noticed is that Bulgarian cuisine is ... a little poor, and the food not guaranteed to be first class (like south Serbia)... Here in Sofia, there are more than 40 (forty) Serbian restaurants and the most sucessful is "Pri Miro" a Serb from Leskovac.
Do not worry Ruse, i still have only good things to say about the Bulgarians, today i almost went to the Stadion to support CSKA (if i am not wrong), i almost became a Sofianec, even for such a short while...

Now when you are in Bulgaria you should start using the word 'mehana'. And what do you mean by 'food was crap'? What did you eat and where and what kind of food exactly do you prefer? If you are into broccoli and Brussel's sprout, sorry. Two things I need to clarify here. Are you really capable of conducting a conversation in Bulgaria? If so, it would be my utmost pleasure to switch into Bulgarian when arguing with you. Second, pensioners with 200 BGN rarely eat at the restaurants in the center of Sofia. They either have additional incomes that are much higher than their pensions or they are talking out of their arses. Hmm...you speak Serbian in a way that Bulgarian can understand what you are saying? Well, Maystor Miro is a hell of a chef. Two years ago he won the skariada in Leskovac and used only Bulgarian products for his meals. I watched that on TV and he said that personally. So food is quiote all right here, the problem is that you are a new guy and not well acquainted with what to eat and order. I can give you some good idea if you tell me what kind of food you are into. Good. You are supporting the right team. My facebook picture was shot at B'lgarska armiya

ruse, short answer since i wont bother : 1) we ate meat at (the only open tavern) in Borovec : it was cheap, not-fresh and crap, same with patatoes 2) mehana is classic in Bosnia/south serbia as well, dont like the word 3) da, mozem da govorim obicni bulgarski, imam problemi ali hora (coveka) razbiraju sto az kazem, dobre?. Pensioneri imali samo edna bira vseki. tuborg 330ml = 2.8 leva = 1.4 euro (and i guess it will pass a month or two before they dare to do this again) 4) yes i speak serbian everywhere and they understand, my wife was for two mornings with a bulgarian lady here frm work, doing administrative things, and had perfect communication (bosnian - bulgarian), (don't pretend that you are not aware of the similarities, especially in the western part of bulgaria) 5) about Miro, he took part in the leskovac contest, representing Bulgaria, so he had to use almost bulgarian products. That does not say anything. Fact is that *EVERY* bulgarian i have met, say that the food in Bulgaria is smth to be careful about . Incidents : - I took food from the supermarket (GM dimitrov) , broke my tooth - I took food from picadilly (sofia center - lozenec), throw it away = garbage - I we took food from the central super market (Bila?) in Pernik = complete rotten crap Just to give you a hint.... why is srbska skara SO MUCH popular in bulgaria? I will come to this later, since i have many thoughts about why it is the way it is... about my preferences - SERBIAN FOOD. period
6) I was impressed by the fans of CSKA, very decent and polite ppl....
ajde zdravej i nemoj budi ljut...

Why? What is wrong with it? There are tons of songs dedicated to it ;D
When in Sofia, the Western part of Bulgaria doesn't mean much, people have come from all over the country. p.s Picadilli is owned by a Serb ;D
Miro was representing himself because that is a personal contest. No such things as him being obliged to use Bulgarian products, it was his own decision.
Why do you buy food from the big supermarkets? There are hundreds of local shops where you can buy fresh meat, vegetables, etc. The big chains are not good, they have many imported products that are far from being the best.

Pyrro brate l seriously believe you should write a book about your journey throughout Ex-Yugoslavia and BuLgarska. It will be more informative than those crappy western travel guides with their propating lies, historical lies.
