Its useless to argue, Bulgarians being mostly of South Mediterranean stock are darker than Serbs who can sometimes be of Northern Mediterranean stock. On other side Serbia has more blonder Alpines, Nordoids, Baltids and Cro-Magnon types, than Bulgaria. Actually, talking about UP types Bulgaria just has here and there some Alpines(mostly) and few Baltids(quite rare) Most Bulgarians are North Pontids by subrace. You can find North Pontids in South Poland and Carpathia. We have East Meds of course, but they are concentrated on the coast. Serbia has the same subraces like Bulgaria, but they have much more Indid influences (DNA tests prove that). As for these blond Serbs in Bosnia, they are not real. These people are Serbinized Croats. Don't forget that the territory of today BiH was 85% ethnic Croat in the 17 century. We got many Upper Paleolithic types, even if some of them have dark hair they still look quite central European, unlike Bulgarians. Average Serb has chestnut hair color while average Bulgarian has black or really dark brown. Please don't bitch about reality. Not having haplogroup R1b means we didn't mix with local Romans and Greeks.

^And so Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Dennis Hopper look like gypsies to you? because those are what America thinks Serbs look like! Many Americans can't even locate Serbia or any other balkan nation on the map.

^Ask any random American walking through Times Square and 95 out of 100 will not know who Tesla is. My point is that this is a rather ignorant country and that krivo's posts are usually trash.

Armani, you silly young Bulgarin, with all the Arab invasions of the Iberian peninsula and North African influence in the coastal mediterrean, its Serbs who possess T (a land locked country). Your map stinks, its not justified by migration and history.

Another thing to note, cause Ulf correctly touched the subject of Greek influence. In Bulgarian it is huge in comparison to Serbia. Hints :
Portokal = nerandza Zahar = Secer surnames, protogerov, trendafilov, spirov, kyriakov, kaloyanov, (the list is endless) etc..... all those have greek roots (as names)
Being in Bulgaria, i felt (disregarding the huge russian influence) closer to Greece than if i was in Serbia.
Also Bulgarians in Greece, fast they learn some really bad greek habits (not respecting queues, etc...), while Serbs in Greece always retain their style.
I personally know of a bulgarian lady here in Greece whose daughter refrains from revealing her origin, and hides the fact she is bulgarian (regarding looks this is not a problem since Bulgarians look like brownish greeks). I have never seen a serb in Greece who tries to hide his nationality.

Pyrro brate, the photo's of the Bu Lgari in their dress, well, look so MONGOLIAN? During my stay in Sofia, i saw two persons (they were surely bulgarian - one is the person in the photo) with chinese-japanese characteristics. In Turkey, i saw definitely more. But the Tatar-Mongolian element is present both in Turkey and in Bulgaria. Now jelena is another story, many germans/slavs have characteristics like this :

But still most know what a Serbian is, thanks to people like Novak Djokovic & Nikola Tesla Same can't be said for the Albs. Serbia's reputation is not good at all. Random West European and American associate Serbia with Yugoslav wars. I personally associate Serbia with massacres, genocides, very gypsy mixed population and ugly chetniks.
