Northern Kosovo officials against IBM agreement
Councilors of four Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo have concluded that the technical agreement on "integrated border management (IBM)" was unacceptable.

Acceptance and implementation of the technical protocol on IBM at the Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings would lead to the establishment of state borders and customs between Kosovo and Serbia, i.e. a recognition of Kosovo, believe the local officials from Zvečan, Kosovska Mitrovica, Leposavić and Zubin Potok.
They met in Leposavic on Thursday and called on top state bodies to receive a delegation of Serbs from the north in order to come up with a coordinated approach to all important matters.
At the session, they concluded the agreements reached by Belgrade and Priština were detrimental to Serbian national interests and the position of Serbs in northern Kosovo, and expressed support for the initiative that the constitutionality of the agreements from Brussels be reviewed before they are implemented.
The officials voiced full support to the Serbian government and government bodies in investigating irregularities in the spending of budget funds for Kosovo, and taking appropriate legal measures against individuals who abused the funds.
They condemned what they called paid campaigns in some media outlets aimed at vilifying the entire Serb population in Kosovo, with a special emphasis on Serbs in the north, in connection with the use of budget funds.
The session was attended by Aleksandar Stojanovic, the assistant director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo, representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, the rector of the University of Pristina, and some members of the Serbian parliament from Kosovo.
