Greek Migration Minister: Citizenship to All Children Born in Greece
~If Obama had a son.~
Greece’s newly appointed Alternate Minister of Migration Policy Tasia Christodoulopoulou introduced the Ministry’s initiative policies regarding migration. Among others, the program includes granting Greek citizenship to second generation migrants who were born and raised in Greece, as well as the disruption of Greek Police’s “Xenios Zeus” operation for the arrest of migrants that was introduced by the previous administration and specifically by the former Public Order and Citizen Protection Minister Nikos Dendias and continued by his successor Vassilis Kikilias. As Christodoulopoulou highlighted, all born in Greece and who have not known any other country as their homeland, will immediately be granted Greek citizenship. In addition, she committed to shut down all operating migrant detention centers, such as the controversial Amygdaleza camp, near Athens. As she said, they will rather operate as open welcoming centers. In addition, Christodoulopoulou appeared optimistic regarding the review of the Dublin Regulation determining the European Union member-states’ responsibilities toward migrants and asylum seekers.
Referring to the chaotic procedures needed to grant a political asylum, she said that they also need to be reviewed and supported, particularly at the country’s entry points, in order to expedite the examination of thousands of applications. Finally, she stressed that the practice of “pushing” migrants back to their countries must end and that European Union member-states should take joint initiatives for receiving refugees.

Citizenship law change could benefit thousands
Educated diversity, speaking excellent English, only 5 year old.
As many as 100,000 children who have been born to migrant parents in Greece could benefit in a law change that would allow them to obtain citizenship more easily, some experts believe.
Alternate Minister for Immigration Policy Tasia Christodoulopoulou has said that government will pass a law allowing all second generation migrants the right to claim citizenship, even though SYRIZA’s coalition partner Independent Greeks has said that its MPs will not back such legislation.
This comes after the PASOK government passed in 2010 a law that allowed migrants’ children to claim Greek citizenship if their parents had lived legally in the country for at least five years. The law, though, was opposed by New Democracy, which led the coalition formed in June 2012 and the Council of State deemed the legislation unconstitutional in 2013.
Before the process was frozen, though, more than 25,000 applications for citizenship had been received from second generation immigrants. Of these, 11,289 related to children that had been born in Greece and another 14,016 to children who had studied at Greek schools. Authorities only managed to process 9,998 applications before the Council of State ruling, leaving more than 15,000 cases pending.
However, Dimitris Christopoulos, the vice president of the Hellenic League for Human Rights, believes that there are some 100,000 second generation migrants in Greece. He believes that it is vital to offer them citizenship because otherwise authorities will create “angry adults.”

New Greek Gov’t Supports Sodomy
Justice Minister Nikolaos Paraskevopoulos told Parliament that legal cohabitation agreements will be made possible for same-sex couples in Greece, but gay adoptions will not be permitted yet. The new government‘s pledge to grant legal civil partnerships to homosexual couples is in response to a 2013 decision by the Council of Europe’s Court of Human Rights that awarded plaintiffs damages after successfully challenging the Greek state over the civil partnership law that has been available to heterosexual couples since 2008. However, the support to same-sex marriage does not extend to gay adoptions. “It is a difficult issue that requires dialogue,” said Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras when asked about the subject recently. “There are disputes in the scientific community about this and we will not include it in our policy program.” The justice minister did not specify when the changes in legislation will be implemented.

(Sub)Human rights organizations hail gov’t stance over migrant(invader) detention
~A ship full of enrichment headed for Greece~
Amnesty International and the Greek Council for Refugees have welcomed a government decision to halt the indefinite detention of migrants held under return orders, following an announcement made by Alternate Minister for Citizens’ Protection Yiannis Panousis in Parliament earlier in the week.
The administration’s intention to cease the practice was “a step in the right direction,” the human rights organizations said in a joint statement released on Wednesday.
The practice, introduced by the previous government, stated that irregular migrants could go on being detained pending their return beyond the 18-month maximum period of detention stipulated by the law if deemed not to be cooperating with the execution of a return order. ekathimerini.com/4dcgi/_w_articles_wsite1_1_12/02/2015_547179

Minister to allow migrants, minorities to join police force
Alternate Citizens’ Protection Minister Yiannis Panousis said on Wednesday that he will allow minorities and migrants to join the Hellenic Police (ELAS) with the aim of making it a multicultural force.
“In a multicultural(multiracial) society(Greece no longer = Greece), you must have a multicultural(multiracial) police force,” he told the Federation of Greek Police Officers (POASY).
“We have to bring into the force people from various groups that have been excluded, such as the Roma, Pomaks and Black Sea Greeks.”
Panousis said that he aims for about 5 percent of the police force to be made up of officers from minority groups.
POASY had first raised the issue of broadening membership of the police force in terms of ethnicity in 2005 but subsequent discussions did not lead anywhere.

Greece was no longer Greece when the Goths killed with as many Greeks as they could during 376 - 525 AD with Ulrich giving the final blow in 395 AD. Mainland Greece was practically empty of Greeks. In 961 Greeks were a minority living in some villages in Lakonia and Arkadia. When Slavs came they found not many locals, however they quickly formed an alliance with the few local Greeks in order to resist the homicidal wills of the Roman empire. Just in case you were wondering Barby-bro.

When the system changed in 1991 in Albania and when all the industries were destroyed by foreign ex-Yugoslavian secret services employee in order to leave people without work and destroy every resource for innovation; during those times the arrival of Albanians in Greece was accepted with hysterical and paranoiac behavior.
It was needed the arrival of Greeks' Black Brethren in order for Greeks to feel in their hearts for the emigrants.

Not that you have any principles. But how can the Germans kill off the ancient Greeks if as you and your favorite mental midget claimed that Goths were: 1) really Slavs and 2) Goths were made up by German historians to hurt Slavic peoples feelings.
Do you mean to say the Slavs killed off ancient Greeks or a made up phantom Germans did?
