I'm glad you had his specimen Tesla was originally a surname of Slavic Origin and means "of the axe" or "harvester". The name dates back to the 7th century when it was used to describe a tool used to harvest timber

Whats funny about it? Some of their ancestry is perhaps from Egypt or Middle East. As far as I know there were Greeks in Egypt and there are still Greeks minority in Egypt.
PS. Now that I think about it, they should be actually happy about it. Those Greeks from Egypt survived all kind of prosecutions so it means they had to be smart in order to survive.
greeks in Africa were always under British/French protection. So if they had any afro genes is because they chose to. In fact most of the Egypt Greeks I know of are quite blonde. More chances I would give if they begged the English/French to get married in order to belong to the higher class.
Even today, if a greek (especially a woman) has some "blond" chracteristics - blue eyes, and instantly she thinks she stems right from Buckingham.
no wander all those urbanized Greeks, the moment they see the first black haired Serb or Bulgarian they start screaming : GYPSIES , subhumans, untermench, dirty Slavs, etc etc etc .
From what I know they were under Ottomans for long time. Also Greeks are evidently darker than other Balkans and Egyptian Greeks are darker than Greece Greeks. The environment they lived was probably hostile towards them. Besides they lived from period of Alexander the Great in Egypt.

The greeks of Egypt have as much connection to alex the great as Rezzo has to illyrians (= zero). They lived in absolutely friendly environment protected by mama England and France.
most of the greeks went there after 1907 :
1907 : 62,000 Greeks in Egypt 1940 : 250,000 Greeks in Egypt
Names like Tositsas (Tosic), Averov (yeah), etc were common..
Nora Valsami was a famous Greek actress born in Egypt :

Germans still call Lusatian Serbs by name Sorbs. Apparently the Germans used the wrong term "Sorb" because they wanted to disconnect them from south Serbs and the fact that Luzicki Serbi call themselves "SERBI".
