Yes its right there are some critics but in this magazine I mentioned above a German could successfully due to this test trace back his ancestors to a region of Scotland, where he indeed found families which had his last name, just in non-germanized form. In old registers in Germany he found out then that his greatgreatgreatetc.fathers name had been changed once. If I remember correctly the man's last name was Moritz and his prime fathers name was Morison.

Then of course you have to choose a reputable corporation...not one that makes such tests for a few money only. And then again everyone knows at least roughly what the result could be...
If they tell me I originate from ancient Athens or Sparta I will of course get sceptic...but if the tests result will be...somewhere north of Thessaly, it will convince me much more. My last name is very typical Greek, according to my name I could be from anywhere, so it doesnt give them any tip, they dont know Im from Northern Greece.
The test on my fathers line for example will show my fathers father (so grandfathers) origins. I know he was from Asia Minor and Im very curious to know if it will show something accordant. I can imagine that he could have been originally from Thrace (todays Bulgaria) as well for example, because many Asia Minor Greeks had their origins there.
And even if the origins question wouldnt be answered correctly you have at least your Y-haplogroup, which I dont think is fake.

When we were in the trees or caves, you guys were slaves to Persians and Hittites and Egyptians. We were actually in the mountains teaching the Sumarians how to write and communicate in the first language for mankind and how to plant seeds in the earth and make mud brick homes, in stead of being slaves to a bunch of banana eating Ethiopians. ;D Thats funny since sumeria is located between egypt and persia , how did you albos go from beeing so smart to beeing extremely stupid?

Interesting study, though I think Minoans originated from Egypt. It explains the Minoan linear-A alphabet which is inline with Egyptian hieroglyphics.
Please don't be so ridiculous - we all know there are Turks & Greeks -- Greeks have been callingthemselves Greeks since time immemorial... you modern Turks are another matter
Don't place us in the same basket.

I think our brothers the Italians look kinda darker than us... Check out these Guidos.... lol i got those pics in an email the other week.. they are HAWT! Turks think Cretans are Turkish. They also think Plato was a turk as well as... get this....ELVIS. Turks think Elvis presley was a Turk because he was part native American which they have this theory that Native Americans came from Anatolia lol. They also think the pomaks aka muslims of Thrace are Turkish. They can fight that out with the Bulgars because they think the pomaks are Bulgarians. lol
