Teuta,
A Greek is a homogenization off all Hellenic and Greek speaking peoples that have resided within and outside of modern Greece.

...very good then...isn't it what exactly an Albanian is as well? (Homogenization of all Albanians and Albanian speaking (with no religion distinction, within in and outside modern Albania....) PS: why do you make the difference between Hellenic and Greek???

How come I walked into that one by asking a simple question, while you, who opened an entire thread, feel as if it doesn't apply to you?
PS: and if I am walking into that one, are you following my steps???

...well...I must inform you that I am not used to those kind of jokes! You, the "male of the year" try to sharpen your intelligence and learn to make some jokes that are appropriate to my level...if you could ever reach that!

Teuta, I will try not insult your intelligence here, but ummm.... ancient Greeks were made up of different tribes, they conquered and spread hellenism (Greek culture and language) to non Greeks (who essentially became Greeks). This is not a hard concept. By the way, I think you should recheck the title of this thread and consider starting another thread. This is impolite to derail a topic in that way.

I am asking because if Hellenes and Greeks are the same, why do you separate them? What it says to me, is: all non-Greeks in the areas where Alexander stepped foot are Greek! Are they? Just asked a question.....

Try to find the answer within your words, in here: NOTICE THE WORD "GREEKS." They were all Greeks nevertheless. Different tribes=Different Polis You can read this in a first graders history book. I am unsure what your point is? Greeks even today in different regions are very different from each other. Cephalonians, Pontians, Ipiros, Peloponesos, Crete, Cyprus all different in many ways but they are all GREEKS NEVERTHELESS.

Nobody is arguing that. What I am trying to say is: all Albanian tribes (Kastriots, Dukagjinas, Musakas, Balshajt, etc) were Albanians nonetheless. They spoke Albanian, they ate Albanian food, they sung Albanian songs, they fought for Albanian land. Despite the Religion diversities. That is in the end, what an Albanian exactly is. I hope this helped to answer to your question.

I hope this helped to answer to your question. Throw in a couple Gypsies, a couple Slavs, some Turks, some Illyrians (if you like), some Greeks and there you go. Voila an Albanian!!! Of course that is on top of all the other DukaKastriots, musakas and Balshajt that you spoke of.

what a good advice to follow than your own...beside the above mentioned, add some Egyptians, Jewish, (Ipiriots or FYROMs if you like)...and voila, Greeks...or should I say Hellenes? Greeks or Hellenes whichever you prefer. It is still possible to be Jewish and Greek. You know Jewish is a religion right? Are you saying that you do not distinguish race from religion? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D HA HA Were onto something here!!!!
