hey diurpy, why are you speaking this stupid ugly language? i though your romanian enough to hate it. bluuueeeaaaahhh. Please don't offend other nations by depicting their language as "ugly". Don't consider them as "bad", just because you don't like them. You wouldn't be happy either if someone was talking about your language in a similar way.

(Toches Laslo) That hurt. Tõkés László, you wanted to say... Btw, I still think RMDSZ should disappear and let MPSZ represent Transylvanian Hungarians & Hungarians living in Romania.

If RMDSZ doesn't make it to the Parliament, we should rather be happy about that; they now represent their own interests instead of those who elected them. As my grandfather said: "RMDSZ is a Romanian party". I hope MPSZ won't go their way and will really be a party to represent Transylvanian Hungarians & Hungarians living in Romania.

I still can't understand why MLSZ (Hungarian Football Association) let Lothar Matthäus go away. He made such a good team from Hungarian football players. With him, we would have had a chance to make it to Euro 2008. The problem is that we always say "next time we'll succeed", and in the end we still stay home. But I'm glad about England, they got back the chance to get to the Euro Champs. ;D

have you emigrated to Hungary? :-) Since the whole Romania was annexed to my homeland, i.e. Transylvania, we had to. Oh and btw, by "legislations" I meant helping families with many children, and not laws forbidding abortion or making it obligatory for everyone to have a certain number of children, that wouldn't work anyway. I believe in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies & helping large families.

Such legislation often fails or has very little impact (e.g. Italy). Probably this is the case, but I'm a helpless optimist... we'll see what will happen. As for abortion, I do not support it, but I know sometimes it is better not to be born than to have a life unworthy of a human being. The other solution is immigration, but this has to be handled carefully as well.

near future you mean in 200 years? Umm, divide that by a few years. Boni, thanks for worrying about me, but for me, Internet is necessary for work, thus... Oh, I was wondering when my "karma" would go into the negative field. Boni, I suppose that was you, thanks for starting that. Waiting for the others... I'm still too far from the negative record.

I don't think so, the only population which is increasing in Hungary is Gypsy Cziganok I was talking about the near future.

It is really time for new legislations which encourage families to have more children + stay in Hungary instead of moving abroad, and our population will start increasing again.

in this case it does, why would they have a different language? a different name? a different history and have different physical charactersitics? They don't... and with that, I believe the discussion can be closed. Btw, why does it bother you that the majority of Székelys consider themselves Hungarians? Do you feel better if there are less Hungarians? Just curious.

Just a remark: there is no such thing as "Hungarian-speaking Romanians". They are either HUNGARIANS or SZÉKELY, which is also Hungarian. In fact, it is the Romanians whom Székely people hate. Not a very nice thing to hate an entire nation because of the stupidity of some people representing it, but this is reality.
As for the EU, it is a great thing, but if you are hoping Hungarians, and especially Székelys will assimilate, you are dreaming. As for Romanian being a must... hmmm. In Romania it certainly is, but Transylvania, especially Székelyföld... In Székelyföld, it is Hungarian which is a must, of course, given if you want its people to understand you. But in areas of Transylvania with a large Hungarian population, I believe it is enough to speak Hungarian. Shop assistants understand you if you want to buy something, and if you happen to wish to talk to a Romanian, you can always use a foreign language.

Are Hungarians irredentists? ;D Wanting to put an end to Trianon/the Paris diktat doesn't mean we are irredentists. "National feeling" doesn't equal "nationalism", or "irredentism".
