Prema sporazumu PDP će odrediti kandidata za srpskog člana BiH Predsjedništva dok je SDS kandidirao Ognjena Tadića za predsjednika Republike Srpske.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trying to defeat Dodik in upcoming elections.
There was something I initially liked about Ivanic(who will probably be the candidate for PDP but then he started saying stupid shit later.)

Somewhat on-topic. Ann Coulter was supposed to speak at my former Uni(Ottawa U) and it was canceled because her safety was in question. About 2000 people protested and fire-alarms were pulled and stuff.
Good stuff.

I found this pretty hilarious.
The canadian parliament can get pretty heated. This was from awhile back. The opposition parties were trying to come together and bring down the conservatives. The Liberal leader(opposition leader) gets more and more mad and he is french, has an accent, so its hilarious.

I'm not sure what we are arguing about at this point. It just seemed to me you saw this situation in a biased and homophobic way but maybe there was some misunderstanding.

You see what I don't get is you AGREED with me that gay people in the military are not itching to get this repealed so they can start coming out.(because its not about that..the coming out) So not one gay person is doing this so they can state their sexual preference. They are doing it, incase it comes up in CASUAL conversation.. if they do tell one of their closer friends, they wont get FIRED. I think that's reasonable. We are talking about careers and lives here.

MIG
Sexual preference and sexuality are the same thing in this discussion because a gay person can not comment on some guy they are seeing without being fired. Understand?

Dude, this being the MAIN key:(I edited a part and added)
"You shouldn't be fired for that coming out, often through no fault of your own. If it is to be equal, then if you ever mention your sexuality,(a girl) YOU should be fired."
So fine, lets not change anything...no repealing...lets just ADD, to make it fair. So the rule is, if YOU mention your personal life, your sexuality, suggest you are straight..then you should get fired too? Fair?
You see how stupid that would be? Everyone would be fired.

You are looking at this all wrong. Nobody comes to the army or military expecting special treatment..we are just talking about equal treatment. Right now if it comes out you are gay..(doesn't matter how), it could be them snooping on your personal stuff(which has happened),or one of your squad rats you out(because you told one person)..you are getting fired. That is where the rights are coming in. You shouldn't be fired for that coming out, often through no fault of your own. If it is to be equal, then if you ever mention your sexuality,(a girl) YOU should be fired.
People are not all of the sudden going to start coming out in droves because people don't join the military so they can come out and show their sexuality to others.
I coach soccer,(and before that played on clubs) and believe me, I know the environment. My club doesn't know I'm gay and they don't need to know. But that's mostly because I don't think its a good idea for players and coaches to be friends.
I scream and yell and say all kinds of stuff to my players..I don't expect them to sue me or be bothered.if they don't like it, they can find another team. That is the military. You won't see anybody complaining that they were called a f*g during training exercises lmao

First, my opinion is based on listening to gay military people.(like the clips above) And while I'm not in the military, police and military were and still are an option for me.
You have to understand that many of them didn't even mind not being out but they were outed. People went through their personal emails and so forth. But please answer this q, MIG: If a bud in the military asks you what kind of girls you like , what you are into, basically personal life..why do you deserve the right to answer honestly and I have to lie??
In regards to he lieutenant.. It makes not difference what he "seems". Most people would guess that quiet a few of my straight buds are gay before they would guess that I was. there is no such thing as a real homosexual and one that just prefers sex with guys..there is all kinds of gays, jocks, nerds, artistic, etc
You didn't choose to find women attractive and we didn't choose to find men attractive. That is how we are born.

MIG, nobody wants to come out for the sake of coming out. Its just that any personal convos..you would have to lie. So unless you are a total social outcast and hate people, are you suggesting you would never talk to other military people in your battalion or whatever?

And your argument about gays being in danger and that BS...don't worry about that. We have balls and we aren't scared. Gays have been coming out of the closet for a long long time, to some of the most anti-gay, violent, people..and very little bad has happened.
So maybe you should get some balls too.

MIG
This is all practical. You are living with these people. Everyday you are talking about personal stuff. Is the gay person suppose to make s**t up about having a gf? Is he suppose to talk about girls even though he has no interest? You want people to be fake? The military is suppose to be about integrity and honor. You are with people that are suppose to have your back. Lying to each other does not bring you closer.

Dude, I'm not going to for one second think you are ok with gay people when you say stuff like "they can parade it on the street but when they start doing it in the military".
First, I'd suggest you watch the videos I posted. They explain really well the rationale for coming out.
Second, many nations have done this, and it has not posed problems. From Britain, to Netherlands, to Israel to Canada. As I said, its not the time to do it in nations where society does not accept it.(that i agree with)
When you watch the videos, and if you know anything about the military, you'll understand that repealing the policy has nothing to do with parading. It has to do with following the military's own code of integrity and honor. When you are in the military, you are basically living with other people, and you are constantly talking about your lives. The gay person always has to lie. How is that proper? You are also looking out for each others lives..yet you find it ok to lie to each other about something major like this.
I think you mentioned that you were doing a police course (or not sure if you are a police officer) and I understand how you can get the perception that it would not be ok..in a group with a lot of guys who are aggresive and so forth..what you probably didn't know is that one of them is probably gay. And what you are not realizing is that military people have respect for other military people because they realize the work that it takes. How can you attack a gay person in the military when you realize that they've done as much work as you to get there? You would be dissing yourself.

I agree with MIG that this wouldn't fly in Russia and there may be quiet a bit of issues but I;m talking about normal societies. The Americans today, 75% believe this policy should be scrapped.
Though, with his opening post, its quiet clear that he is biased and a bit of a moron.
