Your father surely does not look like these people...are you sure he is from there? ;D Lol, yea I know. I dunno how to explain it... it makes no sense to me, I would love to see where his genetics point to since I feel that his physicality is a mask for something. I have only seen one person who looks like my dad, it was a person who was shown in the Himara video posted by Arxileas.

make a dna test and you will know...120 Euros for the paternal side. Look at ftdna if you live in america...but call my name as middleman. ;D hundred thousands of tests cannot be mistaken. www.familytreedna.com/

My dad would laugh at my face if I proposed this... I would have to sneak a swab at night while he is sleeping or something. He doesnt understand this sort of interest.

lol...like my father...no you dont need him...since you are his son...you understand? You have his Y- chromosome which contains...exactly what they need for such a test...make a swab at yourself, its the same.

If you do ever decide to make a test make the cheapest...
Y-DNA12: 12 Marker Test
and for the maternal side, if you also want, the mtDNA. Its enough for the beginning...only if you have very many matches you would need a higher test...but in this case you can always upgrade your test.

i have done three tests...maternal side + paternal side (my swab) and paternal side of my mother (her brothers swab). I will send as next the swab of my father...to analyse his maternal side. It took me without exaggeration four months to persuade him to do this swab...our parents are getting old....and you know old people are stubborn...just my uncle did do it without bitching.

What can you understand by these kind of tests? Isn't this a kind of filing (fakeloma)?

No its a science called genetics.
Dependend on the test you order they analyze for example your Y-Haplogroup (Y means that of your pure faternal line, diladi tou protou arsenikou progonou sou an thes peripou 20.000 chronia prin), and you get of course also your alleles on the DYS-Channel (the more you pay, the more alleles they find out) which you can compare to those of others then (there are more than two hundred thousands of people in the database) in order to detect genetic connection to others...its quite interesting actually and surely no cheating or sth. Many have done several tests (for example one of themselves and one of their father) with different names but the results were the same.

Its interesting, but this test automatically files your DNA...and if someone,of us wants to make a terrorist attack and leaves accidentally a genetic clue he is automatically caught... ;D ;D
When you know(after the test) the type of your Y-Haplogroup, can you know about the geographic area that your ancestor might have lived? By these results can you have any serious sign about the ethnic group and the frequence of your Y among modern nations?
Can you do this anonymously or with false name?

Greeks and their conspirancy- theories. ;D
Thats no national company, its a private one. Secondly if you test for example only 12 markers on the dys value...you will most probably have several 12/12 matches, so its not a genetic finger print like made in the fight against crime by particular laboratories. Its just a test in order to find out genetic matches with others, it doesnt sequence your genome...such a test wold be much more expensive...not some 100 Dollars.
Well your haplogroup can but usually does not tell you anything about your country or people of origins. Take for example the R1a Haplogroup. It is very common among Europeans but also very common among Indians. My faternal haplogroup for example is also usually found in India but my origins are not from there because my Alleles on the DYS Value dont fit with that of Indians but rather with people of the Middle East and Asia Minor. So the Alleles on the DYS Value are much more important for finding our your genetic roots.
The haplogroup does rather tell you something about where your primal father came from originally 20.000-30.000 years ago...and in connection with your DYS values you can find out then where he (or his ancestors) did move to. For example if you are R1a and have common DYS Values with Indians you know your primal father moved into India...if you have on the other hand matches with Germans or Poles...you know he moved into Europe. Its a bit complicated to understand...especially the role of the haplogroup...many believe the haplogroup does determine your race or origins...but thats not correct the haplogroup is rather...lets say the first (very) big containment...as you can see above if you are R1a you can be european or indian (see indian as "continent")...and everything inbetween...but never african or southern american for example.
On the other hand it depends on the haplogroup...there are also haplogroups that are found only among one particular region. For example R1b can only be found among Europeans (to 95%). I2a is for example the typical haplogroup of the Balkans...but it can also be found among other regions of Europe but rarely out of it.
Haplogroup O is the asian haplogroup...that of the chinks.... A (from Adam) is African. But there are also haplogroups (as I said above R1a for example) which you can not limit to one continent or even region.
