Most Bosnian Serbs would agree with me. I am a bosnian serb and agree with you totally. Most if not all bosnian serbs share the exact same views as you zgembo. Whilst I myself and many of family generations had been born and lived in Sarajevo, I could not see myself live there today. If I wanted to live in a Turkey kind of environment my family and I would have moved to Istanbul. ages ago. This is exactly why Serbs will never let go of RS. Last time I was in Sarajevo in 2003, man getting woken up by that hodza at the local mosque at 6am made me wonder if I was in europe or the middle east.

Sarajevo Serbs always seem to have such a strong resentment. I already thought that & now there are two examples here. A guy I met not too long ago from Sarajevo had the same sentiments. Says there's dzamije everywhere & Islam is in his face too much. He's like a really stoic educated Sarajevo city guy but like a hardcore nationalist as a result.

Those Bosnian Serbs who choose to be Serb nationalists obviously don’t belong in Bosnia and should move to Serbia.

A zasto vi balije niste odjebali u Tursku 92e godine kada niste htjeli da budete u sklopu bosne i hercegovine. A sta to cujem?

Are you gonna 'escort' them out of Bosnia? They are escorting them self’s out by preferring Serbian nationalism over Bosnian patriotism, by preferring to hate Sarajevo, by preferring to live where the sound of ezan can not be heard. What about the other nationalists? The same goes for everyone: Serbian nationalists to Serbia, Croatian nationalists to Croatia, Bosnian nationalists to Bosnia. It’s a win-win situation for everyone

It’s a win-win situation for everyone Then you don't have a problem with nationalism, you're just asking them to support one mafia run government over another ( exchange Serbian for Bosnian.) Doesn't seem very consistent to me. I don't know why you just don't pledge loyalty to Serbian politicians then. Why should they change their ways and you shouldn't? Patriotism simply means idealistic nationalism while 'nationalism' as we understand it is more pragmatic. Both seems like characteristics of Stockholm syndrome. I don't know why people in Bosnia should idealize Bosnian/Bosniak nationalism and not any other. Whats the difference if you pledge your loyalty to a Bosnian or Serbian mafia? Its still a mafia.

Why should they change their ways I don’t expect SERBS to change, modern Serb culture is so nationalistic that only an idiot would think that the majority of today’s Serbs could ever change for the better without a military intervention like the one that cured the Germans in the period of 1945-1989 from nazism. The positive thing about Serbian nationalists in Bosnia is that they are making Bosnia into a Bosniak national state by refusing to distance them self’s from Serbian nationalism. It was not the Bosniaks who made Sarajevo into a Bosniak city it was the Serb nationalists who’s hatred makes it impossible for them to exist outside Serbia. Just look at mapkos and karabins posts, they are freely distancing themselves from their birthplaces because they cant stand the idea of hearing the sound ezan 5 times per day. Which reminds me of "Kommandant Marko"s greatest post: Kommandant Marko Bijeljina: Mosque and Church, my [...] experience -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The other day I went to the nearby city of Bijeljina in the Pravoslavni Republik of Srpska in Bosna to go to a monastery.
I was walking with 3 cousins, my uncle, and my aunt, and we decided to first walk around and take pictures by some spomeniks in Bijeljna not to far from the monastery I was about to go to.
Then I had the most disgusting experience in my life...imagine wanting to cry while your gut is being wrentched, but your eyes are being ripped out.
This is what happened, this was that experience:
Throughout Bijeljina a large voice can be heard via a huge speaker. The voice said:
"Allah humwaaaaaaaahhhhh i jaaaaaahhhhh....huhuhuhujaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....Allah mi la humwaaaaaaahh....ge de niamwaaaaaahhhhhhh"
It was a Muslim "calling" or something coming from a nearby Mosque.
I will be honest with you all...when I heard that Muslim preachers voice from the Mosue echo through the city of Bijeljina I felt like I was being watched, like someone was about to stab me...i literally couldnt move.
I will never forget thatmoment that experience...every Serb on the streets of Bijeljina was quiet, pretended to ignore it but they listened as the eerie calling echoed around Bijeljina...it was extremely rogue....disgust swept Bijeljina but everyone was quiet.
The Muslims in Bijeljina are outright assholes because Bijeljina is majority Orthodox Serb by far. My uncle told me before the Mosque would make a calling quietly.
now they blast it on huge speakers the size of church bells and blast it so all serbs can hear it...
BUT DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I WAS DISGUSTED...75 METERS FROM THE MOSQUE WAS THE MONASTERY I WAS GOING TO.
thats what disgusted me, i had such a huge sadness sweep me...it was very painful.
I went to the monastery grounds by now [the Muslim calling still echoing throughout Bijeljina]...THERE I WILL NEVER FORGET IT. ALL THE PRIESTS WALKED AROUND AND PEOPLE...HEADS DOWN,SOME HEADS STRAIGHT....WALKED, ACTED AS IF THEY WERE BUSY AND TRIED TO IGNORE IT. THAT PAINFUL MUSLIM CALLING WAS WRENCHING ALL OF THEIR SOULS.
I look straight and see an icon of Jesus...and I hear the Muslim calling.
It was the darkest day darkest moments in my life...filled with disgust, sadness, bitterness.
I attribute this day to the Mosque built in Bijeljina near the center...
I wish I could erase such horrible memory...I truly never despised Muslims more then after that day.

He joined the "Lazar guard" when Kosova declared independence and is now selling nationalist T-shirts in Belgrade.
