FYROM fears ANA on its territory 31 October 2007 | 15:53 | Source: B92, Tanjug SKOPJE -- Masked gunmen checking vehicles have appeared in northern FYROM, reports say.
Armed persons wearing uniforms without any insignia have been stopping vehicles and checking passengers in the region of the villages of Brodec, Bozovce and Sipkovica, in the municipality of Tetovo in northern FYROM, for the past two nights, Albanian language media in Skopje reported on Wednesday.
An unidentified representative of the FYROM Interior Ministry confirmed Wednesday that the ministry was informed by citizens about the presence of persons in uniforms on the Tetovo-Jazince road, adding that the authorities in Skopje are "concerned" over the development.
Due to the appearance of armed persons, suspected by media of being members of the Albanian National Army (ANA), police forces and OSCE observers have been stationed in the area of the Tetovo Malesija.
ANA is an armed group gathering ethnic Albanians in Kosovo, which the UN administration in that province designated terrorist.
In late September, President Boris Tadiæ warned during a UN General Assembly session in New York, that Belgrade had information about terrorist activity in that area of FYROM.

^ I wouldn't be suprised if Albania started Aggressing upon Makedonija. Nobody would intervene, except Serbia, and maybe Bulgaria, and some other Former SFRJ nations.

Albania's relations with Macedonia are on the contrary to what you seem to believe rather good. The same goes for Kosova & Macedonia. The latter has expressed her support for the Ahtisaari proposal to a new resolution. So your vivid imagination lacks support in real life. These guys are as influential as the Tzar Lazar Guard. There's no general interest in a new conflict .... these guys are there and in Kosova as a 'precaution', carefully following the political process in both regions (the issue of Kosova's status & the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement). Their popularity will only increase with the deterioration of political stability.

Fyrom already lost support from the EU for any future SAA 'talks' and it looks even dimmer for their invite to NATO membership, because their leaders have failed to uphold their part of the treaty. Corruption here runs deeper than in any mafia. Here, the 'mafia' has its own country and they run all of it. This is why Fyrom's future looks dim. I guess when they try to imitate their brothers to the north, they get the same response from the world. They get shut down from the outside. Much luck to the Albanians and all the other groups who wish to step out of this fantasy created by Belgrade 'grand schemers'.

ANA is a byproduct of he Tzar Lazar's. This is an obvious fact. No. There have been reports of the ANA or ANA like groups before. Same with Tsar Lazars. The Tsar Lazar's have nothing to do with the ANa being present. The only thing thast is different this time is their is more concrete evidence of their existance and their actions are bolder.
