Now Fyrom is trying to put its foothold in Albania ! When will ppl see these monkeys are trying to raise nationalism to a point that will cause trouble in the region. I may have some political differences w/ you guys, but these fyromians are the worst ! Macedonians party in Albania to hold its first congress www.makfax.com.mk/look/novina/article.tpl?IdLanguage=1&IdPublication=2&NrArticle=130090&NrIssue=807&NrSection=10Tirana /30/10/ 10:34 Macedonian Alliance for European Integration, the party of Macedonian minority in Albania, is set to hold its first congress on November 9, Makfax correspondent said. According to Prespa newspaper, a paper run by Macedonian community in Albania, the congress comes after many years of hard work. Macedonians in Albania expect the upcoming event to be a congress of unity and unification. They expect the party to do its outmost to ensure that Macedonians in Albania may exercise fully and effectively all their human rights on equal terms with others in society. Macedonians also expect to be entitled to higher posts in public life. The congress of the Macedonian alliance for European Integration will be of high significance to the party's preparations for elections slated for next year

The Macedonians in Albania are so few and so dispersed that they hardly constitute a threat(mainly a number of villages in the south of Albania around Prespa). As Albanians in Macedonia now have two, quite powerful, political parties, I hardly see the threat in a few old men gathering together to discuss their community and ethnic issues. They have every right to do what they are doing.
Not to mention the unity of the group is questionable since Bulgaria is making overtures to the community now, and considering its EU status I think it will become a formidable contender.

I dont buy it....they are starting small, but they have a policy in place. They are trying to cement their " identity & language " by trying to convice other countries that they actually inhabit a larger area than fyrom itself. They list themselves as " macedonians " and ppl like you that address them as such which doest help either.
As far as those big politcal parties in Fyrom....to be quite frank...I am greatly disappointed. I overestimated albo power in fyrom. I was under the impression that those albanian parties would really deal some blows against the slav establishment for greater rights. Instead you guys rally behind them against Greece. I dont get it....

How does rallying around Macedonia against Greece show that they dont have power? They have the ability to make or break coalitions by simply walking out. Albanians in Macedonia are an exactly of what an actual minority can do. The only thing that pisses me off is that they have multiple parties... they should simply unite into one big mega party and become a far more powerful community. The internal party squabbling is only weakening them..
Yea well, again, I dont see any possible threat in a few villagers gathering together. They are not a threat considering their position makes them at best a non-entity. They can even secure local politics because of their weak numbers. The Albanian minority party in Romania does the same thing, as do Vlach identifying people. Its their right...
Hell even the Greek party, for all the hubbub, can only secure a few villages in the south and maybe 3 seats in parliament. And if thats the power of the "oh-so-feared" Greeks. Imagine how weak the Maco's are...

Greek party in albania are not hostile...they may once in a while stir up things with greek signs and stuff...but i thnk they are harmless. Besides..they are a good liason between albos living permantly in Greece.
But you better watch out for fyromians..because they are the ones out there with something to prove. Im sure they dont like the fact that you guys have special rights in fyrom...do not trust them. Not to mention...if they succeed with this macedonian nonsense..what make you think they wont start laying claim to macedonian regions in albania that is currently occupied by foreign ppl like you ( per se ) ?
Yes, technically albs have power in fyrom. But I havnt seen them use much of it. There are still items in the ohrid agreement which fyrom hasnt fulfilled to you...

Macedonia is a shaking mouse cornered at the of a room... its too weak and frightened by everything around it to move. Being afraid of Macedonia is outright stupidity... even Albania's pathetic sellout politicians are aware of this... Greece on the other hand... she is a snake...
They are all coming together more and more and little by little. At least there the Albanians have rights as a minority, while they were extinguished in Greece so we cant make such comparisons.

This is the balkans Tosk....Fyrom has nothing to lose and they are going for a hail mary pass to succeed in what they want to do. PPl like Gruevski and company will make alb life harder once they get stronger...no doubt about it. All the more reason why albs should put pressure on them now...before they enter in nato or eu. You guys arent thinking straight...you see them as weak, but they will come after you guys next with cultural issues and stuff.. In Greece individual liberty is guaranteed....albs speak and hang out freely here w/ no problems. they adapt pretty well and get along. I guess we are more used to seeing albs then we are pakis....

No, Im not talking about them. Their immigrants and your businesses need them. Im talking about those that were there before the Greek state were formed and were either assimilated and denied basic rights by nearly all regimes until they fully assimilated and disappeared or were expelled outright. Not to mention with the full eradication of nearly ALL Albanian culture from places like Epirus...
Albanians are still in Macedonia and as they are finally getting what they longed for, its only right that Macedonian/Bulgarians be allowed to do this. Besides, it is probably because of the recent overtures made by Bulgaria that Macedonia is organizing this.
And besides, like the rest of the minority groups in Albania, the Macedonians are declining in number while Albs are increasing in Macedonia.

The Fyromians and the Albanians ... should become bestest friends if they aren't already.. so this way when we veto their assess we get both of them... Two birds on stone..... Make up your minds Albos.... it's not the Ottoman times where you stuck it to the Greeks... and you paid for it over and over and still paying for it... either you are with us or ...you know my meaning....
