I don't want to become some sort of Srbobran defender but I really don't see what is wrong with his statements. After all, everyone is entitled to an opinion. And a spelling mistake in one's name is not something that might turn the world upside down.

Pyrros, let's say that I am very well aware of Poland and Polish. Trust me, what Srbobran states is 100% true. in athens we must have more than 5,000 poles... in any single case i seen one, i though he was serb, and i went straight to him/her to ask if he/she was from Serbia. Germanics and short-minded politics have made you hate one another, my wife thinks that polish pasteta will poison her, and also thinks that bulgaria is an unfriendly and dangerous place to visit. On the other hand you bulgarians accuse the bad serbs for anything "slavomakedonian"-related, and the saxon priests of satan laughing spread their wings...

Pyrros, I started to wonder if you have ever met Serbs in your life... then you are not following the forums here... cant help you on that. i just said some posts ago about my visiting at vranje/predejane/Novi Sad/Beograd/Bijeljina/Brcko, etc... Also i have 3 serbs living in my house (wife+2 kids), so there are practically zero probabilities to not ever have met any serb in my life...

I mean we didnt have like 3 wars in the last 10 years. I think it very tragic and missfortunate for the Serbians. Add to this the NATO bombing in late 90ties. Strangely, we think the same of Serbia, at least of Kosovo (I had to go to Montenegro in September by car and we had to pass through Kosovo (the shortest way), but we ended up travelling some 500 km longer because we didnt want to come near it . Also, no matter what, Bulgaria is an EU member. I dont think there is drastic difference between Serbia and Bulgaria. I personally think Bulgaria is safier.

You may visit Rila Monestery, in the mountain of Rila, it was set up by Ivan (Ioan) Of Rila, a saint that lived in 10 century. Very beautiful. You can visit Sandanski also (it is visited by Greeks mainly)

About Sandanski i know, but usually when i leave greece i want to avoid greek rudeness, impoliteness and informality so Sandanski is not an option... Any other cool resort? We usually like simple and clean places, not the neo-capitalist exaggerations like the ones found in Dubai, Greece, etc...

Novi,
You commented on Vardarci populating a sizeable portion of Vojvodina, when did this occur? Was this after WW2 or is this pertaining to the exodus of Kosovo during the 18th century?

It was when the people of Novi Pazar decided they want womena from other areas... Why do you ask Novi? He is as away from truth as a Maori from Balkan origin.

Ljubotan, it occurred during Ottoman times circa the early 1700's after the failed Austrian-Serbian war effort.

Not long time ago we were probably one people. 50 years ago fyrom and Bulgarian people were one nation. Some years ago same was the case for Serbians, Bosnians and Croatians. Romanians and Moldovians are the same. I think the Aromanians and the Romanians are different people.

If you are reffering to the fact that many Russians may be mixed with indigenous peoplse of Rusia or some with Tartar or other Turkic peoples then this is also true for Ukranians and Poles, lots of Tartar blood went into Ukraine and Poland . Racial studies dont really support what you are saying as Serbs are reported to be only about 5% racially Slavic/Neo Danubian and predominantly illyrian. Ukraines and Poles have higher Neo Danubian percentages than Slovaks.
