Rex...you are starting to sound like Albhoney..... I would suggest your boost your meds..... you are incoherent.... I swear I don't understand you especially when you add the slash (/) next to the word Illyrian..... tsk..tsk... many peoples lay claim to that bygone extinct tribe... it had no continuity... as in dead after the year 50 bc...
Let me tell you a little story about the Acadians that were transplanted in Louisiana by the Brits 250 years ago... today they call themCajuns.... some of them swear they are from that state...but in reality they are from Quebec.... and before that France.... take a lesson from them....
Now I would suggest you pick up some books like Donnie did... and read.... not that link you have in your signature that has a 'hotmail' e-mail address.
Aside from that..dicha fix your laptop? ;D

That's the ironic thing about this cap topic, Rex. Everytime I search out the origins of whatever he points out to Albanians, as if he's insulting us, we learn that the origin of it always turns out to be from Ancient Greece, just like the Fez cap.
Btw, skull caps were worn under the helmets Spartans wore in their battles. ;D ;D ;D :Dtihi..tihi..

They are exactly the same caps.... everyone knows that..have you no shame to even sit there and say they are Pelasgian... WTF are you smoking? Don't say that again.... they will lock you up in an institution.
Tell me you belong to Pelasgian stock... but don't use the hat thingy..it is ridiculous.

This is bullshit Rex..I expect you to understand that... there is absolutely no connection to that Muslim hat to anything you say,.... First of all there is no record of Albanians before 1200... so all your theories are irrelevant..I don't even bother to check your links..cause it's just utter nonsense... there is no connection ...capiche...

First of all there is no record of Albanians before 1200... so all your theories are irrelevant..I don't even bother to check your links..cause it's just utter nonsense... there is no connection ...capiche... Ferdinand Schevill, The Balkans: From the Earliest Times to the Present Day (Ayer Company Publishers 1971) Even though all the people in the balkan pennisula have arrived sometime in the past, only two people are autochthonous and non-barbaric: The Greeks and Albanians, only to languages are autchthonous and great: Greek and Albanian, the first one arriving from the dark depths of the Aegean and written on papyrus and paper; the second one has come through riding the pelasgic nights, carved only in stone, blood and spirits...............Noel Malcolm , Kosovo: A Short History (London: Macmillan, 1998 ) p.31 It is clear that Albanian is indeed the only surviving representative (apart from Greek) of an ancient Balkan language: it belongs to the Indo-European family of languages, but exists in a sub-section of its own, with no immediate relatives. If either Illyrian or Thracian could be identified as its parent, this would at least set some fairly clear geographical limits to the early home of the Albanians Robert D. Kaplan Balkan Ghosts: A Journey Through History (Random House Inc. New York 1996) p.43 Albanians descend from ancient Illyrian tribes that by some accounts came to the Balkan Peninsula even before the Greeks did, and more than a thousand years before the Slavs. The Albanian language, Shqip, also derives from that of the Illyrian tribes and bears no similarity to any other known tongue. A. Rambraud, L'Empire Grec au X-eme Siecle. p.262 The Albanian highlanders continued to serve in the Byzantine Army, but not in the same scale as in the Roman Army. When their food supplies were running low, the highlanders came in the lowlands and pillaged other villages.

It seems quite interesting that you non-Greeks never seem to ask yourselves; Why and How did Greek become the official language of the Byzantine Empire/Eastern Roman Empire?? Simple! It was due to the vast majority of it's subjects being Greek! LOL. What are you talking about? Do you know how vaste the Eastern Roman Empire was? Besides much of the Balkans, it included Anatolia, Syria, Palestine, Egypt and much of Northern Africa. It bordered with the Sassanid Empire in the east and owned for some time colonies in Italy. A minority of the empire's subjects were actually Greek. Only during its final years did it include a probable Greek majority. The reason for Greek being adopted lies elsewhere. Greek, much alike Latin in much of Europe and what was the Western Roman Empire, had acquired the status of a lingua franca in the eastern Mediterranean. It was the language of commerce & litterature. It had acquired a significiant status during the age when Greek colonies spread across the Mediterranean. But its main breakthrough came during the Hellenistic era succeeding Alexander the Great's conquests. The diadochi who siezed power after his death introduced Greek as the administrative language in the territories they governed. This legacy of Greek made many non Greeks learn the language for obvious reasons -- just for the same reason you and I have learned English and communicate in this very language.
