www.wsu.edu/~dee/GREECE/HELLGREE.HTMHELLENISTIC GREECE Richard Hooker In spite of the political turbulence and chaos of the fourth century BC, Greece was poised on its most triumphant period: the Hellenistic age. The word, Hellenistic, is derived from the word, Hellene, which was the Greek word for the Greeks. The Hellenistic age was the "age of the Greeks; during this time, Greek culture and power extended itself across the known world. While the classical age of Greece produced great literature, poetry, philosophy, drama, and art, the Hellenistic age "hellenized" the world. At the root of Hellenism were the conquests of Philip of Macedon and his son, Alexander. However, the Macedonians did more than control territory; they actively exported Greek culture: politics, law, literature, philosophy, religion, and art. This was a new idea, exporting culture, and more than anything else this exporting of culture would deeply influence all the civilizations and cultures that would later erupt from this soil: the Romans, the Christians, the Jewish diaspora, and Islam.

www.wsu.edu/~dee/GREECE/HELLGREE.HTMHELLENISTIC GREECE Richard Hooker Macedon Macedon all during the age of the Greek city-states was an anomaly: it was a Greek kingdom. Located north-east of the Greek mainland and northwest of Asia Minor, Macedon was firmly entrenched on the European continent. The Macedonians were the Greeks who had to contend, then, with all the European tribes, many of which were war-like. So the Macedonians served as a kind of buffer for the Greeks, as the faithful Greeks who stood between the tribal Europeans and the Greek city-states. For all that, the Macedonians were deeply unappreciated by their fellow Greeks; they were looked on as no better than barbarians themselves, particularly since they had never developed or adopted the polis.

"Greece in evolution..", 1910 by Abbott, G. F. (George Frederick)Frenchman self-witness "Macedonians even as they die NEVER deny HELLENISM"Read this one. Account from a Frencman self-witness who found himself in Macedonia and specifically "to Demir-Hissar, to Barakli-Djoumai'a, to Serres, to Nevrocop, to Razlog, to Djumal-Bala, to Melnik, to Petritch, to Drama, to Cavalla, to Niaousta, to Vodena, to Sorovitch, to Clissoura, to Kastoria, to Monastir, to Megarovo, to Tirnovo, to Fiorina, and to a hundred villages.
"Everywhere I found men who, even as they died, found strength to cry with passionate, intrepid voices. " We are Greeks! Zito i Ellas ! "
"all these Macedonians prefer to be crucified rather than to deny Hellenism"This account should be spread everywhere and be slapped to every brainwashed fyromian!!!.

"Greece in evolution..", 1910 by Abbott, G. F. (George Frederick)Facts are:a) The Komitadjis were undoubtedly solely Bulgarians. b) The Greek population of Macedonia suffered quite a lot of them. In fact the oppression from Komitadjis forced many into creating Greek bands fighting back. c) The moronic claim of FYROM ultranationalists there were NO Greeks in Macedonia prior to 1912 is pure crap. d) The intent of the Bulgarian "committees" was to imbue this population with a "non-Greek conciousness" by sword and tortures. As it happened, sword met with sword and the result was a Greek victory in the countryside by 1908. Point of Interest: The testimony of the Macedonian Traikosterio. "My ancestors were Greeks, my father was a Greek; I, too, will be a Greek and i will die a Greek!"Thanks to Ptolemy of www.macedoniaontheweb.com

Arxileas Great Amazing Book
Let's take a look at the past...
Which are the historical facts.... When Slavs first appeared in the Macedonian land in the middle ages, they tried to push out the Greeks in order to obtain a road to the sea. The Greek response was fast. Byzantine army attacked and the threat was terminated. Few centuries later history repeated itself. When Slavs entered Macedonia and threatened the local Greeks, the Byzantine army again terminated the threat. In 20th ce., during the war of the Greek independence against the Ottoman empire, Slavs also tried to conquer Macedonia. The Greek army attacked once again and the threat terminated. During the WWII, Slavs beside the Nazis, attacked and occupied Macedonia. Four years later the Greek Macedonian Fighter and Greek army again threw them out. Today Slavs are making another masterplan to conquer Greek Macedonia. Do you think that it is time to face the truth. All Geographic Macedonia also FYROM belongs to Greece Slavs Albanians Bulgarians,Turks go home.

What is now called Macedonia was in earlier times called Emathia. And it took its present name from Macedon, one of its early chieftains. And there was also a city Emathia close to the sea. Now a part of this country was taken and held by certain of the Epeirotes and the Illyrians, but most of it by the Bottiaei and the Thracians. (Strabo). oph Strabo lost greeks

The IndoGreeks, descendants of Alexander's troops. After the death of Alexander the great, his vast hellenistic empire was divided into four parts...The largest hellenistic kingdom of all was the one of the Seleukids...A part of the Seleucid empire later became the Greco-Bactrian kingdom. The Indo-Greeks designate a series of Greek kings, who invaded and controlled parts of northwest and northern India from 180 BCE to around 10 BCE. They are the continuation of the Greco-Bactrian dynasty of Greek kings (the Euthydemids) founded by the military governor Diodotus around 250 BCE, when he established the independence of his Bactrian territory from the Seleucid Empire. www.grifterrec.com/coins/indogreek/indogreek.htmli n d o - g r e e k s Covering roughly modern Afganistan, Pakistan and northern India, these isolated Greek kingdoms survived for more than two centuries starting with the renegade Seleucid satrap Diodotus in 256 BC. (Greeks had been settled here by Alexander the Great and perhaps by the Persians before him). More than 40 Greek kings ruled this area until the Bactrian dynasties were overrun by 'Scythian' invaders circa 130 BC, and the Indian kingdoms, lasting about another century, by the Kushans. Dating follows Bopearachchi (1991).a coin from some indogreek kingdom...read the greek inscription...Demetrius I, "ANIKETOS", i.e. "Invincible"

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-Greek_KingdomThe Indo-Greek Kingdom (or sometimes Graeco-Indian Kingdom[2]) covered various parts of the northwest and northern Indian subcontinent during the last two centuries BC, and was ruled by more than 30 Hellenistic kings,[3] often in conflict with each other. The kingdom was founded when the Greco-Bactrian king Demetrius invaded India early in the second century BC; in this context the boundary of "India" is the Hindu Kush. The Greeks in India were eventually divided from the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom centered in Bactria (now the border between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan). The expression "Indo-Greek Kingdom" loosely describes a number of various dynastic polities. There were numerous cities, such as Taxila[4] in the easternmost part of the Pakistani Punjab, or Pushkalavati and Sagala.[5] These cities would house a number of dynasties in their times, and based on Ptolemy's Geographia and the nomenclature of later kings, a certain Theophila in the south was also probably a satrapal or royal seat at some point. During the two centuries of their rule, the Indo-Greek kings combined the Greek and Indian languages and symbols, as seen on their coins, and blended ancient Greek, Hindu and Buddhist religious practices, as seen in the archaeological remains of their cities and in the indications of their support of Buddhism, pointing to a rich fusion of Indian and Hellenistic influences.[6] The diffusion of Indo-Greek culture had consequences which are still felt today, particularly through the influence of Greco-Buddhist art. The Indo-Greeks ultimately disappeared as a political entity around 10 AD following the invasions of the Indo-Scythians, although pockets of Greek populations probably remained for several centuries longer under the subsequent rule of the Indo-Parthians and Kushans.[7] ********************************************************************************************************* for further reading... www.indopedia.org/Indo-Greek.htmlen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demetrius_I_of_Bactriaen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greco-Buddhist_artHolt, F. Plans for a "Red Macedonian State" and Greek Macedonia
The RED "Macedonian country" - the fond hope of the Cominform, the Bulgarian communists, NOF and of the Hellenic bandits - should encompass according to the desires of its inventors, the Yugoslavian Macedonia or Vardar Macedonia with an area of 39.600 sq.km and a population of 1.550.000, Bulgarian Macedonia or Pirin Macedonia of an area of 4.000 sq.km and a population of 250.000 and Hellenic Macedonia with an area of 34.250 sq.km an a population of 1.700.000. Working in favor of this shameless anti-Hellenic crime, are mercenary-bandits. The above expressive sketch was published in the Swiss "Illustrated" (see following related article.
CRISIS CENTER
THE THREAT AGAINST MACEDONIA
Details of the plan
by Oscar Rundel.
ZURICH, April. (Special Report)- For the last 8 months Moscow is trying to annihilate the renegade Tito. Up to now, Tito has managed to resist all attacks against him but now the Cominform invented a new weapon against him: the ALLEGED "LIBERATION OF MACEDONIA"
Everything indicates that Moscow in co-operation with her loyal servant Dimitroff will use all its weapons in this battle front, all, except those which could ignite another World War. But it is not certain that these weapons will definitely overthrow Tito.
Under the development of these new events, Macedonia, the heart of this Balkan peninsula becomes again the center of international interest. According to the most accurate information, it is from there that the Soviet Union and the Cominform intend to launch their decisive blow against the renegade Tito. With the declaration of an autonomous "Socialist Republic of Macedonia" which will be composed by the Yugoslavian, Bulgarian and the Hellenic part of Macedonia, Moscow estimates that it will succeed to shatter Tito's power, detach the Northern Hellenic provinces from Hellas and extend the influence of Soviet to the Aegean.
There is no doubt that this plan indeed exists. The only doubt is on when and by which means will its implementation be attempted.
If international communism is determined to persue its objectives through the power of weapons- and intelligence which speaks of the concentration of military in all neighboring countries in an attempt to form an "aerial bridge" from Hungary to Albania and unusual defensive measures by Tito compose indication- that there is indeed danger that in the near future Macedonia may become the center of events which will threaten the peace not only in the Balkan peninsulla but also in the entire world.
Geographically Macedonia can easily be defined, but it becomes trully impossible should one desire to give a definition based on the political or ethnological view and define the limits of the "Macedonian country" or "Macedonian nation". And this because IN REALITY THERE IS NO MACEDONIAN COUNTRY, NOT EVEN A MACEDONIAN NATION.
AN INDEPENDANT MACEDONIAN NATION FOR THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME IN HISTORY EXISTED ONLY DURING THE TIME OF PHILIP AND ALEXANDER THE GREAT, BUT THAT NATION WAS HELLENIC AND ITS POPULATION WAS HELLENIC AND DIDN'T DIFFER FROM THE POPULATIONS OF ATHENS, THEBES NOR SPARTA AT ALL.
Undoubtably the supporters of the idea of a macedonian country CAN NOT CLAIM THE TRADITIONS OF THAT ANCIENT HELLENIC MACEDONIAN NATION BECAUSE THE SLAVIC RACES OF THE SERBS AND BULGARIAN SETTLED IN THE BALKAN PENINSULA ONLY DURING THE 7th and 8th CENT. AD. driving the original Hellenic population towards the South without ever achieving their objective, which was to reach the shores of the Aegean and Thessaloniki.
During the last 2 millenia Macedonia became successively a province of the Roman, Southern-Roman, Byzantine and finally the Ottoman Empires. What it NEVER became was an INDEPENDENT NATION.
LIKEWISE THERE NEVER WAS NOR IS THERE TODAY A "MACEDONIAN PEOPLE". THE GEOGRAPHIC REGION NAMED MACEDONIA IS POPULATED BY A MULTITUDE OF PEOPLE AND ETHNICITIES THAT HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON ON ANY HISTORIC, LINGUISTIC, RELIGIOUS AND SPIRITUAL BASIS: Hellenes, Serbs, Bulgarians, Albanians, Turks, Koutsovlachs and Jews. The majority of the population today is composed in the Northern part of Macedonia by Serbs and Bulgarians, while in the South by Hellenes, which means, two peoples that belong to totally different races with a centuries long enimity between them.
Albanians differ from the Slavs and the Hellenes and are theorized to be the descendants of the Illyrians that were driven by the Slavs to the highlands near the shores of the Adriatic. The Koutsovlachs are neither Slavs, nor Hellenes, nor Albanians kai descend from the leagoneers of ancient Rome and Romanized Thrace. The Turks belong to a totally different race.
Each one of these peoples speak their own language and none of them managed to assimilate the other and by doing so form a "macedonian nation"
Theclaim that a macedonian people which wants its autonomy or the independence of the lands it resides in, exists, IS AN INVENTION OF THE LAST DECADE OF THE PREVIOUS CENTURY. This invention is attributed to Bulgarian imperialism, which is the root of the problem of all bloody conflicts and implacable contrasts in the Balkans.
During the 19th cent. the Hellenes, the Serbs, the Rumanians and lastly the Bulgarians were liberated from the Turkish yoke and only Macedonia and Albania remained part of the Ottoman Empire. Bulgaria that wasn’t satisfied with the borders determined during the Congress of Berlin but had ambissions of expanding towards the West to the Adratic and to the East to the Aegean, making it thus the most powerful country of the Balkans, was the first to demand the “autonomy” of Macedonia, which would be nothing more than the first step towards its annexation.
It was Bulgarian greed that provoked right after the 1st Balkan War of 1912-13 during which the allied Hellenes, Serbs and Bulgarians managed to drive the Turks out of the center of the Balkan peninsula, the 2nd Balkan War. This war ended as we know with the Treaty of Bucharest under which the region of Macedonia which has remained unchangeable untill this day, was distributed between the Serbs, Bulgarians and Hellenes.
During the 2 World Wars Bulgaria which sided during the first with the Central Powers and the second with Hitler attempted to detach from the Serbs and the Hellenes the corresponding regions of Macedonia. Both times they attempted to capture Macedonia with military force and oppress the non-Bulgarian population but both times was forced to finally retreat and abandon the captured regions of Macedonia.
After the end of the 2nd World War the internal political composition of the Balkan nations changed but the strife for Macedonia continued with remarkable vehemence on two fronteers:
Firstly under the guise of the strife of the united slavocommunist countries against Hellas with the objective of detaching the part of Macedonia from Hellas and including it along with the Yugoslavic and Bulgarian parts of Macedonia under one new Cominform country.
Second under the form of an once secret yet today obvious strife between Yugoslavia and Bulgaria related to the dominance of the planned united Macedonia.
While Yugoslavia and Bulgaria continue their combined strife against Hellas with the illegal assistance of the bandits, between Sofia and Belgrade the strife for Macedonia is undergoing constant acute phases. In this strife, Dimitroff, who carries on the plans of the monarchic and fascist Bulgarian imperialism, is nothing more than a marionette in the hands of Moscow who's objective of reaching the shores of the Mediterrainian, is now, as it has been in the past the true root of all the bloody conflict around Macedonia.
OSCAR RUNDEL.
