Dragos, why wouldn't they? Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world today !
There is no racism in Islam and no hierarchy. You pray to God yourself. It accepts all the past prophets that Christians believe, and does not turn God into a human !
It makes sense !!

no racism or hierarchy ?!?!? Tell that to the women that have to cover themselves...and get beaten up on a drop of a dime.
Any religion that says pork and booze is a sin...has a serious problem.
No islam does everything EXCEPT make sense...It needs to advance in the 21st century. Even Catholic Christians had to adapt...i suggest the muftis adapt as well

Yes, no racism & no hiearchy. Anyone can be a Muslim.
What you are seeing in the news on Afganistan does not represent Muslim beliefs.
Actually early Christians covered their heads - but they changed the rules.
Yes, there is no religious hierarchy in Islam, no priest, no pope, no patriarche.
That's why Islam came as the last religion to mankind to fix the changes Jews & Christians made to our religion. And that is also why there are so many similarities between the 3 religions, but actually Christians and Muslims are closer to each other b/c Muslims accept Jesus as a prophet.
That's why Muslims accept Jews and Christians as people of the book. Our belief is that God gave them the same message, but it was changed. If you ask any scholar on the original Bible, you will see that it has been written by different people at different times, basically it is not authentic. It is a group of stories placed together, it is not the word of God. In the Koran God speaks to you.
That' s your problem if you want to eat & drink - the statement that pork should not be eaten is in your own bible Chalkedon. But no one wanted to listen to it which lead to the perversion of Christianity. And the whole trinity thing is also a change from the orginal message God gave.
I disagree with your viewpoint, religion should not change. If it changes, then the original message is lost !

you brought up afghanistan...why dont you muslims ever condemn those terrorists ? Im sick of seeing muslims saying that it doesnt represent the majority. Prove it ! Go out in the streets and stop these ppl...do protests...condemn them. But you will never see this happen.
Religion has to adapt...God gave us a mind to think, not to stay in the dark

Of course they condemm terrorism. It is the biggest sin to kill someone. We don't have to go out in the streets to condem a couple hundred people, they do not represent the majority 1.2 billion Muslims worldwide !
About 21% of all people on Earth follow Islam. The religion is the fastest growing in the world. What a couple hundred people do does not represent Islam.
Why don't Christians or Jews ever condem what they do? The US bombing Iraq & Afganistan. I don't ever see anyone doing anything about them?
Christians killed the most people throughout history. And they don't do anything themselves !!

He became a Muslim because he is married to a Muslim woman. His family had a lot of problems he was confused and mixed up.People like him who do not have a strong faith to lean on during difficult times are very vulnerable. When he was introduced to Islam he believed it was a peaceful religion and went for it.If he only Knew!! How may times did you hear him condemning the invasion of Cyprus (his own country) by a big Islamic Power? I never did.

Muslim women have more rights than christian women .. so stfu Wow, under what standards? Maybe medieval primitive law yes.... but in terms of modern ones, even Catholic girls in the most backwards villages of Latin America have a greater sense of freedom than your average Afghan woman. And what about that little thing called Saudi Arabia?

Islam is the culture in many of these countries, and the following of Islam is done without questions.
Can you provide an example where women in Islamic countries have more rights then that of say that of Western Countries? Or is reasoning philosophical and has to do with the teachings of the Koran?

Turkish women live in a country where 99% of the population is muslim yet have historically had more rights than many women in western countries. Also which religions women are granted an easy divorce if their husband cannot satisfy them in bed?

Oh so now you're talking about historically who had more rights when a few posts ago you stated that in the present day, Muslim women have more rights than their Western counterparts, which you yourself now, its utterly ridiculous.

It would be nice to see what part of the Quran that is stated in and how it was that u came to that interpretation.
Like I said, desire, the fact is that middle east society, and a heavy part of Balkan one, is strongly influenced by Islam/Islamic rule. In nearly all these societies the position of women visavis men is horribly imbalanced. Afghan society is strongly influenced by Islam. In fact, law, life and society is directly influenced by how the imams and hoxhas interpret the kuran. This is the same in any other Islamic country, including Turkey.
Now, your argument works well if I was blind... but the fact is that I can see.
