I just want to inform the unaware and remind those who already know, that the Greece and Albania that we know of today, will be gone in 100 million years. In Pangaea Ultima, high mountains will form where the two countries are now present. Archaelogists will be able to dig into mountains and find Canaris' condo in what is now Athens. And to the Albanians who live in NY: that will be gone, too.

Most of Albania and most of Greece are already too mountanious for their own good, I'm surprised this hasn't happened yet...but I do worry what's going to happen 100 million years from now. It keeps me up at night sometimes. Thank you for sharing this very valuable information with us. LOL

The reason why Greece, Albania, and Montenegro will disappear is because northern Africa is heading towards southern Europe. When the two continents will collide, a mountain range will form. The Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea will be gone. Romania will stay intact, altough the coast with its Greek herritage will be destroyed. I hope Bucharest will meet the same fate.

100 million years, no ways! It'll happen faster than that. Greece and Albania will be inundated when global warming causes all the glaciers to melt and sea levels rise. I'd say in the next 200 years.

what are you talking about? even if all the glaciers melted, the average land concession in the mediterranian would be minimal, especially somewhere like albania who is very mountenous, the risk of global warming is that it will f*ck up the ocean's currents, the cold glacial water will travel down towards warmer currents thus making them colder which in turn will the affect the climate on countries which rely on such warm currents to provide a moderate and warm climate hence commencing the onset of a new cycle of the ice age, the world is not going to drown, that's preposterous

If Africa collides with Balkans than we can expand south to our new land. More mountains for us. ;D

I have read in the Bible that "one day the oceans will swallow land." I can't see why at the rate we are going why this will not be true. In America in my lifetime alone I have seen noticeable changes in climate, amount of snow we receive, and the disruptions of seasonal changes. I mean last year I think we were getting like 60 degree days in October and November. I dont know if I am just getting fatter and not able to take the heat but I sense some changes.
