... to all. ;D Plus, let nasty provocations to the inferior mindsets and cultures; greeks certainly can do better than that.

you cant celebrate the veto of macedonia to join NATO until the decision has been made.
germany has said that if greece tries to blocks macedonia's bid to join nato, it will put sanctions on greece.
i think greece will reluctantly let macedonia into nato, which is the right thing to do.

the decision has been made, it is final.
where & when?..... and with all that $$$$ at stake, germany will stand still and applaud the Greek veto.
agree, Greece will let fyrom into nato. But NATO means alliance, respect and whenever in need you should count on your ally. Publishing maps reaching Larissa, altering the Greek flag and insulting a whole country, is not the behavior of a friend - potential ally.

Morale of the story is: - Be an ally first, then ask for memberships.

The German government did never say it will put sanctions on Greece because of its stance, some politicians of the Greens party did demand that, but this party does not govern....I could never stand this party of dipshits...

congrats to our greek friends. at least greek government protects its history from fyrom. bulgaria should do the same, because they do steal our history too. fyrom people are bulgarians, brainwashed to hate their kind.

well our government thinks that by not being hard to fyrom, they would feel closer to us as it should be. but the effect is the opposite till now.

but the effect is the opposite till now. My diagnosis on the effect is that they see your kindness as a weakness and not as kindness. In other words, they are too much spoiled brats! Many/most in my country (including myself) also feels them as friends and natural allies of greece as well (and if you can exclude the specific name dispute), and Greece has behaved as such in the past and when needed. But they also saw it as a greek weakness, as it seems. And thought that they could terrorize us now with those svastiga greek flags or with america and germany. ;D This is the main reason why a hard (still not deadly) line was needed! Spoiled brats shouldn't be very much spoiled, especially because they cannot see the real world when too much spoiled...

And exactly who "spoiled" them?
Hmm, I think its more the political wars made against them by greece and albanian hostility that made them so hostile towards their neighbors
If greece keeps them out of NATO this will only fuel their hatred.

Political war? By Greece? They are just protecting their ancient history, as Bulgaria should do when fyrom try to "fyrom" Samuel, Ioan Radomir etc. Bulgaria always supported them, yet they hate us, cause they know they are us. Pity.

Bulgaria made the smart decision, to not wage a political war against fyrom and to not make it personal.
Greece "protecting" their history is not doing anything but fueling propoganda in Fyrom and destabilizing the region.

If greece keeps them out of NATO this will only fuel their hatred. Greece actually wants all Balkan states tied on the vehicles of progress and stability, whether that is NATO or EU where it is already a member. But there are some conditions for that. I.e. Good and peaceful relationships. Cooperative attitudes. and so on. Logical and very basic things imo. So, Skopie as well has nothing to worry from Greece as long as they fulfill those basic things. You think it is illogical and hate-promoting?

The problem with fyrom is that with the name gone, the fake identity goes as well. So it would mean 16 years of brainwashing gone as well. Plenty of money, paper, broadcasting time etc. What would all those paid provocators do? The very persons who are paid to post idiocies in any forum they can find. They must get unemployed. Too bad, huge increase in the unemployment rate in fyrom, since this is one job that is certainly very profitable. Anyway, my respect to Greece for their position!
