Some people will never be convinced,mate...i had found plenty of such pics a couple of years ago...one of these retards said that the origin of the greek alphabet was phonecian and therefore the inscriptions on these coins werent greek but...phoenecian!!! ;D ROFLMAO Now we have seen not only not Greek but some claim to be The Messiah and that he was an Albanian. . Those are facts and stop going off topic or you will get proof that greek is of Egyptian/Semitic/phoenician origins. webspace.ship.edu/cgboer/alphabet.html

That's the whole point of genetics combining with migrations and origins of languages...DNA does not lie and we have the purest and oldest connection than the Greeks. So if you have a problem with this concept, you need to take it up with Sforza and Cavelli.

what is today present day albania was in reality in ancient times an greek citystate Graeca Illyris --Heavens! how much more heinous and hateful would all have pronounced it! And yet in regard to Philip and his conduct they feel not this, although he is not only no Greek and noway akin to Greeks, but not even a barbarian of a place honorable to mention; in fact, a vile fellow of Macedon, from which a respectable slave could not be purchased formerly. ==Demosthenes, 3rd Phillipics link

AlbaneseHoney must go!!! Or other people in this board will stoop to her level. I enjoy reading these forums but I really cannot stand her ignorant comments followed by those annoying little smiley faces like she did something good. AlbaneseHoney, either shape up or ship out. Stop with the racist comments, and stop with your confrontational debating style. No one is receptive to a thing you say because your just a racist and nothing more. And Rex you start to sound like this smut more and more everyday. Mysia, well for you no comment.

Well on a better note. THE COINS ARE GREEK AND IT WAS VERY NICE TO ACTUALLY SEE THEM! Its great that we don't have to travel to a museum and see them but can just as easily see them from the comfort of our computer chair.

Ancient Greek coins represent the Power of the Greek World. Greek heritage and the richness of its culture !!!
Greek coins appeared for the first time, they included a combination of figures, symbols, and inscriptions, which illustrated the independence of the poleis. The first Greek coins represented poleis' main deities and heroes, as well as products, and visual puns on the names of their cities.
Ancient Greek coins, with their historical portraits, represent an important contribution to the art history. The illustrations of the old Greek coins include a lot of sacred buildings and temples, allowing people to appreciate their high importance.
